[Purpose] The purpose of this study is to examine how the types of attention focus, that is, holistic, external, internal attention focus, affect golf performance and learning. [Method] Participants were randomly assigned to the holistic, external, internal attention focus group or control group, and performed a pitch shot toward a target from 15m in the acquisition phase and 18m in the retention test. [Result] In the acquisition phase, the external focus of attention had a significant main effect on the internal focus and control condition, whereas in the retention phase, the holistic focus of attention was significant on the internal focus of attention and control condition, and the external focus of attention was significant on the control condition. [Conclusion] This means that only external focus of attention had an effect on performance, whereas holistic and external focus of attention had an effect on learning. It was confirmed that holistic attention was valuable as another possible attention strategy that could be used in addition to external focus of attention.

[목적] 본 연구의 목적은 주의초점의 유형, 즉 전체적 주의초점, 외적 주의초점, 내적 주의초점이 정확성을 요하는 골 프 수행 및 학습에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인하고자 하는 것이다. [방법] 참가자들은 전체적, 외적, 내적 주의초점 그룹 또는 통제조건 그룹에 무선 배정되어 습득 단계에서는 15m, 파지 및 전이 검사에서는 18m 거리에 있는 지름 50cm의 표적을 향해 피치 샷을 수행하였다. [결과] 습득 단계에서는 외적 주의초점 조건이 내적 초점과 통제조건에 대해서만 유의한 주효과가 발견된 반면, 파지 및 전이 단계에서는 전체적 주의초점 조건이 내적 초점과 통제조건에 대해, 그리고 외적 주의초점 조건이 통제조건에 대해 유의한 주효과가 나타났다. [결론] 이는 수행에 있어서는 외적 주의초점만 영향을 미친 반면, 학습에는 전체적 주의초점과 외적 주의초점이 영향을 미쳤음을 의미한다. 전체적 주 의초점은 외적 주의초점에 더해 추가로 사용할 수 있는 또 다른 가능한 주의초점 전략으로서 가치가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
