The purpose of this study was to empirically verify whether negative parenting attitudes of parents have a mediating effect in the relationship between positive parenting attitudes perceived by adolescents and the effects of adolescents' academic helplessness. For this, a total of 2,384 students in the third grade of middle school were targeted using the data of the 2020 survey (3rd year of 2018) of the Korea Youth Policy Research Institute's 'Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey', and the structure was structured using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 22.0 programs. It was analyzed with the equation model. As a result of the analysis, first, positive parenting attitudes perceived by adolescents were negatively correlated with negative parenting attitudes and academic helplessness of parents, and negative parenting attitudes and academic helplessness of parents were positively correlated. Second, it was confirmed that the positive parenting attitude perceived by adolescents directly or indirectly affected the negative parenting attitude and academic helplessness of the parents. In other words, it was confirmed that the positive parenting attitude of parents directly affects the academic helplessness of adolescents, but it indirectly affects the adolescent's academic helplessness through the negative parenting attitude of the parents and plays a partial mediating role. Based on these analysis results, in order to lower the negative parenting attitude of parents, it is necessary to develop an intervention and intervention program for families that can increase the positive parenting attitude of parents and provide them to them. In addition, in order to lower the academic helplessness of adolescents, it is required to support a family counseling program that helps parents to change their parenting attitudes and educational programs for proper child education.

본 연구는 청소년이 지각하는 부모의 긍정적 양육태도가 청소년의 학업무기력에 미치는 영향 관계에서 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 매개효과가 있는지를 실증적으로 검증하기 위한 목적으로 수행하였다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 ‘한국아동ㆍ청소년 패널조사’ 2020 년 조사(2018년 3차 년도) 자료를 활용하여 중학교 3학년 총 2,384명을 대상으로 하였으며, SPSS 25.0과 AMOS 22.0을 사용하여 구조방정식모형으로 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 청소년 이 지각하는 부모의 긍정적 양육태도는 부모의 부정적 양육태도와 학업무기력과 부적 상관 관계로 나타났으며, 부모의 부정적 양육태도와 학업무기력은 정적 상관관계로 나타났다. 둘 째, 청소년이 지각하는 부모의 긍정적 양육태도는 부모의 부정적 양육태도와 학업무기력에 직ㆍ간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 즉, 부모의 긍정적 양육태도는 청소년의 학 업무기력에 직접적인 영향을 미치기도 하지만 부모의 부정적 양육태도를 통해서 청소년의 학업무기력에 간접적으로 영향을 미치고 부분매개역할을 하는 것으로 확인하였다. 이러한 분석결과를 바탕으로 부모의 부정적 양육태도를 낮추기 위해서는 부모의 긍정적 양육태도를 증가시킬 수 있는 가족을 위한 개입 및 중재프로그램을 개발하여 이들에게 제공될 필요가 있다. 또한 청소년의 학업무기력을 낮추기 위해서는 부모의 양육태도를 바람직하게 변화하 도록 돕는 가족상담 프로그램, 올바른 자녀교육을 위한 교육프로그램 지원이 요구된다.
