The goal of this study is to examine research trends related to 'multicultural' using network analysis and topic modeling techniques. For this purpose, keyword network analysis is performed by collecting bibliographic information of multicultural-related studies shown in the academic database. Through this process, research trends by period and academic journals can be examined. Next, topic modeling for multicultural research is conducted using the LDA technique. Topic modeling analysis has the advantage of being able to grasp the distribution and flow of all research topics by analyzing topics of multicultural research based on similarities in simultaneous appearance between keywords. The bibliographic information collector of Netminer 4.0 was used to collect bibliographic information in which 'multicultural' appears. As a result, as of October 2021, 10,634 multicultural studies registered in the Korean Citation Index were searched, and 19,478 keywords were analyzed. The most common keywords in 'multicultural' research bibliographic information were multicultural (60,276 times), education (34,830 times), and society (25,441 times), followed by culture (21,237), home (12,266), and Korea (11,064 times). As a result of the topic modeling analysis, topics were largely divided into family life, school education, language education, social policy, and social culture.

이 연구의 목표는 네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링 기법을 통해 ‘다문화’와 관련된 연구 동향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 학술데이터베이스에서 나타난 다문화 관련 연구의 서지정보를 수집하여 키워드 네트워크 분석을 실시하였고 이를 통해 시기와 학술지별 연구 동향을 살펴보았다. 다음으로 LDA 기법을 활용하여 다문화 연구에 대한 토픽모 델링을 시행하였다. 토픽모델링 분석은 연구의 주제를 키워드 간 동시출현 유사성을 바탕으로 분석해내는 기법으로 전체 다문화 관련 주제의 분포와 흐름을 파악할 수 있 다. Netminer4.0의 서지정보수집기를 이용하여 ‘다문화’가 등장하는 서지정보를 수집 한 결과 2021년 10월 기준 한국학술지인용색인에 등록된 다문화 연구 10,634편이 검색 되었으며 분석 대상 키워드는 19,478개로 나타났다. ‘다문화’ 연구 서지정보에서 가장 많이 나타나는 키워드는 다문화(60,276회), 교육(34,830회), 사회(25,441회)였으며 그 뒤로 문화(21,237회), 가정(12,266), 한국(11,064회)이 분석되었다. 토픽모델링 분석 결과 크게 가정생활, 학교 교육, 언어 교육, 사회 정책, 사회 문화로 주제가 나뉘었다.
