Africa, the second most populous country in the world, accounts for a significant portion of the world's population. It is also known as the continent with the largest number of nextgeneration children. However many children are suffering from war, climate change and epidemics. The African continent has reached a stage where new methods for practical Christian education and mission empowerment should be established for a sustainable future with the generation leading the present. In this thesis, we will explore the current situation of children in the African continent, and seek effective methodologies for ministry by studying the necessity and plan for the ministry of the centered on Kenya in East Africa. This thesis also tries to consider the future for the young generation in Africa. The purpose of the ministry is to “know God, read the Word every day, meet God every day, and cherish God for the rest of your life”. This ministry is an essential element of living life as a citizen of heaven on earth and it is the responsibility of every Christian. The is a ministry that can help African children escape from both physical and spiritual poverty at the same time. Through this ministry, missionaries should help African children go beyond simply getting out of poverty and see the glory of God through the cross. In addition missionaries help children go beyond the application of the Word and develop a deep communion with Christ, so that these children eventually participate in making disciples of all nations. I hope that the ministry for children in Africa will heal and restore the wounds of children caused by poverty and hunger, conflict and terrorism, war and conscription of child soldiers. In addition it seems that more research by researchers is needed to achieve a turning point for a better life for these children.

세계인구 2위의 대륙 아프리카는 세계 인구의 상당 부분을 차지하고 있는 동시에, 다음 세대 아이들이 가장 많은 대륙으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 적지 않은 아이들이 전쟁과 기후변화, 전염병 등으로 고통받고 있다. 아프 리카 대륙은 지속 가능한 미래를 열어가기 위해 현재를 이끌어가는 세대와 함께 할 수 있는 실용적인 기독교 교육과 선교 역량 강화를 위한 새로운 방 법이 구축되어야 할 단계에 이르렀다. 본 고에서는 아프리카 대륙의 아이들의 현재 상황을 살펴보고, 아프리 카 대륙 중 동부 아프리카 케냐를 중심으로 한 <성경말씀과 빵> 사역의 필 요성과 그 방안을 연구함으로써 사역의 효율적인 방법론을 모색하고, 아프 리카의 젊은 세대를 위한 미래를 고찰하려 한다. <성경말씀과 빵> 사역의 목적은 “하나님을 알게 하고, 매일 말씀을 읽 고, 매일 하나님을 만나고, 하나님을 평생 간직하고” 살아가도록 하는 것 에 있다. 이 사역은 지상에서 천국 시민으로서 삶을 살아가도록 하는 일에 필수적인 요소이자, 모든 그리스도인의 책무이다. <성경말씀과 빵> 사역 은 아프리카 아이들이 육적 빈곤 상태와 영적 빈곤 상태에서 동시에 벗어 날 수 있는 사역이다. 사역자들은 이 사역을 통해 아프리카 대륙의 아이들 이 단순히 빈곤 상태에서 벗어나는 것을 뛰어 넘어 십자가를 통해 하나님 의 영광을 보도록 하고, 말씀의 적용을 넘어 그리스도와의 깊은 사귐을 하 도록 하여, 결국에는 이들이 모든 족속을 제자 삼는 일에 동참하도록 한다. 아프리카에서 아이들을 위한 <성경말씀과 빵> 사역이 빈곤과 기아, 분 쟁과 테러, 전쟁 그리고 소년병 징집으로 인한 아이들의 상처를 치유하여 회복시키고 보다 나은 삶으로의 전환점이 되기 위해서는, 보다 많은 연구 가 필요할 것으로 보인다.
