New Zealand is a multi-ethnic country made up of the indigenous Maori tribes and various immigrants, and is a country with a very geographically isolated character that was the last country to be formed by mankind. Also, although it is a country that is politically independent from Britain, it has a unique political characteristic of serving the Queen of England as the monarch of the country. New Zealand is an island country, and the tourism industry is active enough to account for the majority of the country's economic income, and it is a country where you can meet travelers from all over the world. Therefore, New Zealand's security services are world-renowned, and New Zealand's police, in particular, have a good reputation for being friendly to various tourists. New Zealand's police system, which is made up of diverse ethnic groups, may cause division of the country or cause practical difficulties in the security system. In particular, in the case of New Zealand's police system, it is said that active research on New Zealand's police system is necessary because it is operated as a national police system similar to that of Korea. However, there is currently no academic research on the New Zealand police system in domestic police science. I will do it. Considering the national efforts to recognize various ethnic national members, support and revitalize the political participation of these minorities, and the police system efforts, it can be said that there are significant implications for the police system in Korea.

뉴질랜드는 원주민인 마오리족과 다양한 이민자들로 구성된 다민족 국가이며, 인류 가 가장 마지막에 국가를 구성한 지리적으로 상당히 고립되어 있는 특성을 지닌 국가이 다. 또한 정치적으로 영국에서 독립된 나라이지만, 나라의 군주로는 영국 여왕을 섬기고 있는 독특한 정치적 특징을 지니고 있다. 이러한 뉴질랜드는 섬나라로 관광업이 나라의 경제 수입원의 대다수를 차지할 만큼 관광업이 활성화 되어 있으며 세계 각국의 여행자 들을 만날 수 있는 나라이다. 따라서 뉴질랜드의 치안서비스에 대해서는 세계적으로 유명하며 특히 뉴질랜드의 경찰은 다양한 관광객들에게 친절하기로 그 명성이 자자하 다. 다양한 민족으로 구성되어있어 자칫 국가의 분열을 초래하거나 치안 체제에 있어 현실적 어려움의 가능성이 많은 뉴질랜드의 경찰제도는 높은 치안 서비스와 더불어 친 절한 업무 태도를 가진 이유에 대해 깊이 생각해 볼 필요가 있다. 특히 뉴질랜드의 경찰 제도의 경우, 우리나라와 같은 국가경찰 제도로 운영되기 때문에 더욱이 뉴질랜드의 경찰 제도에 대해 활발한 연구가 필요하다고 하겠다. 그러나 현재 국내 경찰학에서 뉴질랜드 경찰 제도에 대한 학술적 연구가 전혀 이루어지지 않고 있으며, 특히 우리나라 경찰의 고압적이거나 혹은 방관적 업무 태도에 대한 사회적 논란이 연일 발생하는 현시 점에서 이러한 뉴질랜드 경찰 제도에 대한 연구가 절대적으로 필요하다고 하겠다. 다양 한 민족적 국가 구성원을 인정하고, 이러한 소수민족의 정치적 참여를 지지하고, 활성화 시키기 위한 국가적 노력, 경찰 제도적 노력을 볼 때, 우리나라의 경찰 제도에 대해 시사 하는 점이 크다고 할 수 있을 것이다.
