Clinical practice at the practice hospital was postponed due to COVID-19, and nursing students began to conduct in-school and at-home training, paying attention to safety, infection prevention, and human rights in their major practical training. The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for a qualitative content analysis study that attempts to understand and describe the experiences of nursing students during on-campus and home practice. For data collection, the study surveyed 60 nursing students who have experienced substitute practice in psychiatric nursing at a university with on-campus and home-based practice, and conducted a self-filled questionnaire survey with open questionnaire form. As the data analysis method, a qualitative content analysis method was used. 5 categories and 14 subcategories were derived from 69 statements through the study. The five categories were ‘regret about clinical practice’, ‘Substantial and effective alternative practice’, ‘recognize bias and prejudices’, ‘attracted to a career in psychiatry’, and ‘introspection’. Although it was an alternative practice, the students showed high satisfaction with the systematic program. Going forward, universities must be prepared to deal with situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Research and development of various practical programs and teaching and learning methods are urgently needed.

COVID-19로 인하여 실습병원에서의 임상실습이 연기되었고 간호대학생은 전공 실습 교육에 대한 안전, 감염 예방 및 인권 등에 주의하며 교내 및 재택실습을 실시하게 되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 교내 및 재택실습에서 겪는 실습교육 만족과 다양한 경험을 이해하고 기술함으로써 간호대학생의 실습교육에 질적 향상을 위한 근거자료를 마련하기 위함이다. 자료수집은 정신간호학 대체실습를 경험한 간호대학생 60명을 대상으로 개방 형 설문지를 이용하여 자가 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 질적 내용분석 방법을 사용하였다. 69개의 진술문 에서 5개의 범주와 14개의 하위범주가 도출되었다. 5개의 범주는 ‘임상실습에 대한 아쉬움’, ‘알차고 실속있는 대체 실습’, ‘선입견과 편견을 알아차림’, ‘정신과 진로에 마음이 끌림’, ‘자아성찰’이었다. 대체실습이었지만 학생들은 체 계적인 프로그램에 높은 만족도를 보였다. 앞으로 대학은 COVID-19 감염병과 같은 상황에 대처할 준비가 되어 있어야 하며, 다양한 실습 프로그램과 교수·학습 방법의 연구 개발이 필요하다.
