The purpose of this study is to explore the satisfaction with the curriculum of Chinese international students enrolled in the Taekwondo Department and to suggest improvement plans. According to the purpose of the study, in-depth interviews were conducted with five Chinese international students currently enrolled in the Department of Taekwondo, and the conclusions are as follow. First, the motivation of Chinese students choosing to study abroad in the Department of Taekwondo is that Taekwondo includes not only sparring but also demonstration and poomsae. Second, there is a problem with the curriculum for Chinese students. The Taekwondo department's curriculum is tailored to Korean students, and there are no subjects tailored to foreign students. It was found that foreign students wanted various and subdivided practical classes such as the basics of Taekwondo and the principles of movement in the practical classes, and the theory classes wanted classes such as Korean language, Korean culture, and Taekwondo terminology. Third, it was found that demonstration basics, poomsae basics, and gyeorugi basic classes are needed as the improvement measures they want, and theory classes should be replaced with Korean language and Korean culture classes in the lower grades. In addition, classes such as the principle of Taekwondo technique movement and knowledge required for dojang management should be added. 이Based on the research results, in order to successfully attract foreigners to strengthen the global capacity of each university and secure the school operating budget, various efforts will be needed to organize the curriculum through a survey on the satisfaction of international students in their majors.

이 연구는 태권도학과에 재학 중인 중국 유학생들의 교육과정 만족도를 탐색하고 그에 따른 개선방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이에 따라 현재 태권도학과에 재학 중인 중국 유학생 5명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하여 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 중국 학생들이 태권도학과로 유학을 선택한 동기는 태권도는 겨루기뿐만 아니라 시범, 품새도 포함되어 있기 때문에 시범과 품새 등 실기와 이론을 정확하게 배우기 위해 유학을 선택하였다. 둘째, 중국 유학생 입장에 서 바라본 교육과정의 문제점은 모든 태권도학과의 교육과정은 한국 학생들에게 맞춘 교육과정이며 외국인 유학생들에 게 맞춘 교과목이 없다. 외국인 유학생들은 실기 수업에서 태권도의 기본과 움직임의 원리 등 다양하고 세분화 된 실기 수업을 원하고 있었으며, 이론 수업은 한국어, 한국 문화의 이해, 태권도 용어 등 수업을 원하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 태권도학과에 재학 중인 중국 유학생들이 밝힌 개선방안을 살펴본 결과 시범 기초, 품새 기초, 겨루기 기초 수업이 필요하다고 언급하였고, 저학년에서는 한국어와 한국의 이해 수업으로 이론 수업이 대체되어야 한다고 나타났다. 또한 태권도 기술 동작의 원리, 도장 운영에 필요한 지식 등 수업이 추가되어야 한다고 밝히고 있다. 이상의 연구 결과를 통하여 각 대학의 글로벌 역량 강화와 학교 운영예산 확보를 위한 외국인 유치를 성공적으로 이루기 위해 유학생들의 전공만족도 에 대한 조사를 통해 교육과정 편성을 위한 다양한 노력이 필요 할 것이다.
