The purpose of this study is to assess the characteristics of agro-industrial complexes and to derive a revitalization plan for these complexes in Jeollabuk-do, Korea. The types of agro-industrial complexes are classified according to their region or age, and the characteristics are compared with similar facilities in other regions. As a result, although the agro-industrial complexes in Jeollabuk-do are larger than those in other regions, the company size on average is rapidly shrinking. A survey of the companies found that the supply of worker convenience facilities and the degree of facility investment support for companies are the most urgent issues with regard to revitalizing agro-industrial complexes. However, it was found that the level of facility management and that the demand for support policies differed by region or age. The results of this study provide implications for those tasked with establishing policy directions for the revitalization of agro-industrial complexes at the national and regional level.

본 연구의 목적은 전라북도를 대상으로 농공단지의 특성을 진단하고 활성화 방안을 도출하는 것이다. 먼저, 거시적 차원에서 농공단지의 유형을 지역과 노후도별로 분류하여 다른 지역과 특성을 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과, 전라북도의 농공단지는 다른 지역에 비해 규모는 크지만 입주업체의 영세화가 빠르게 이루어지고 있었다. 미시적 차원에서 농공단지 입주기업을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행한 결과, 농공단지 활성화를 위해서 근로자 편의시설의 공급과 입주기업에 대한 시설투자 지원이 가장 시급한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 시설관리 수준과 지원정책 수요는 지역이나 노후도에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 국가적, 지역적 차원에서 농공단지 활성화를 위한 정책방향을 수립하는데 시사점을 제공하였다.
