The purpose is a qualitative study on the search for career paths of nursing students after visiting the National Institute of Science and Investigation. Participants in this study were 13 people who participated in the National Institute of Science and Investigation visit program during a club event for 3rd graders at a university in M c i ty, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Data collection was made through a self-report within 48 hours of visiting the National Institute of Science and Investigation. The collected data were analyzed using Krippendorff's phenomenological method. As a result of analyzing the experiences of nursing students' visits to the National Institute of Forensic Science, 3 categories, 6 themes, and 20 meaningful statements were identified. The three categories were derived from “Beyond the boundaries of the nursing profession,” “The difference between drama and reality”, and “Challenge in a new field”. As a result of this study, it was confirmed that the experience of visiting the National Institute of Forensic Science provided an understanding of forensic nurses and had opportunities for various social participation attitudes as nurses. In addition, it is expected to be used as basic data useful for career guidance and student counseling in the future, and it is expected to be used as basic data for educational demand structure and educational development for forensic nurses.

본 연구는 국립과학수사원을 탐방 후 간호대학생의 진로에 탐색에 대한 질적 연구이다. 본 연구의 참여자는 경 상북도 M시 일개 대학에 3학년을 대상으로 동아리 행사 중 국립과학수사원을 탐방프로그램을 참여한 13명을 대상으 로 하였다. 자료 수집은 국립과학수사원을 탐방 후 48시간 내에 자기 보고서를 통하여 작성하도록 하였다. 수집된 자 료는 Krippendorff의 현상학적 방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 간호대학생의 국립과학수사연구소 탐방 경험을 분석한 결과 3개 범주, 6개 주제, 20개 의미 있는 진술로 도출되었다. 3개의 범주는 ’간호사 직업 경계를 넘어서다‘,’드라마와 현실과의 차이‘,’새로운 분야의 도전‘ 도출되었다. 본 연구결과 국립과학수사연구소를 탐방 경험이 법의학 간호사에 대 한 이해를 제공하였으며, 간호사로서의 다양한 사회참여 자세에 대해 기회를 가진 것으로 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 추 후 진로지도와 학생상담에 유용한 기초자료로 활용 될 것으로 기대하며, 법의간호사의 대한 교육요구조사와 교육개발 에 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.
