Until now, some studies on the Sipseungjiji have been conducted, but studies on the Sipseungjiji in Chungcheong area have not been properly carried out. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to enhance the correct understanding of the Sipseungjiji in Chungcheong area. To this end, the literature of secret record of the location of Sipsungjiji in Chungcheong area was surveyed and the current location of Sipsungjiji based on this literature recorded, was determined through analysis of literature survey, the old map and field survey. In addition, the location was analyzed using the Pungsu theory on which Dochamseo(圖讖書, prophetic writings) relied on. Among the secrets, the Chungcheong area mentioned at least once in 󰡔Gamgyeol󰡕, 󰡔Namgyeongamsipseungji󰡕, 󰡔Sogyei Lee Seonseng Gajanggyeol󰡕 are eight places such as Danchun, Gongju, Jeongsan, Magok Valley, four villages outside Mt. Gyeryongsan, four Junghang near Boeun Mt. Songnisan, Mt. Gyeryongsan in Gongju. There are two places commonly mentioned in the three secrets such as the place near Jeunghang of Mt. Songni and the one between Yugu of Gongju and Magok. between Magoksa Temple in Yugu, Therefore, in this study, the target sites of these two regions were identified and analyzed as Jeokam-ri near the four junghangs of Mt. Songni and Seoyang-gol between Yugu and Magoksa Temple in Gongju through literature and old map analysis and field surveys. As pointed out through this study, these regions are often consistent in terms of Pungsu, but from the perspective of Yanggi(village) Pungsu where the villages are located, it can be said to be an unfavorable location for a rational settlement for affluent life. Therefore, these areas should be viewed as a place where the desperate families of the Joseon Dynasty, politically accused sinners and hungry peasants, sought refuge in order to live their lives prior to the aspect of Pungsu auspicious place.

그동안 십승지지에 대한 연구는 일부 이루어졌으나, 충청지역의 십승지지에 대한 연구는 아직 제대로 이루어지지 못하였다. 따라서 본 고는 충청지역 십승지지의 올바른 이해를 높이는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 충청지역 십승지지의 위치에 대한 비결의 기록을 문헌 고찰하고, 이를 바탕으로 기록된 십승지의 현 위치를 고지도 분석 및 현장답사를 통해 비정하였다. 그리고 비정된 현 위치를 대상으로 도참서가 의존하고 있는 풍수이론을 활용하여 입지를 분석하였다. 비결 중 󰡔감결󰡕, 󰡔남경암십승지󰡕, 󰡔서계이선생가장결󰡕에서 한 번이라도 언급된 충청지역은 단춘, 공주, 정산, 마곡 골짜기, 계룡산 밖의 네 고을, 보은 속리산 네 증항 근처, 공주 계룡산, 유구 마곡사 사이의 8곳을 들 수 있으며 세 비결에서 공통적으로 언급된 곳은 속리산 증항 근처와 공주의 유구와 마곡 사이 두 곳이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이들 두 지역의 대상지를 문헌 및 고지도 분석 그리고 현장답사를 통해 속리산 사증항 근처 중 적암리와 공주의 유구와 마곡사 사이의 서양골 두 곳으로 비정하고 분석하였다. 이들 지역은 본 연구를 통해서 지적했듯이 풍수적인 측면에서 부합되는 바도 많지만, 마을이 입지하는 양기풍수적인 시각에서 본다면 풍요로운 삶을 위한 합리적인 취락의 입지로서는 불리한 곳이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 이들 지역은 조선 시대 사대부 집안의 서얼, 정치적으로 누명을 쓴 죄인들이나 굶주린 농민들 등이 풍수적인 길지라는 측면보다 우선적으로 삶을 연명하기 위한 도피처로서 찾았던 곳으로 보아야 한다.
