The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the accessibility to service information and the diversity of service choices on the satisfaction with service use of mental patients who are consumers of mental health welfare service, and the effects of the variables on their consumer perceptions. The results of data analysis show that the greater the information accessibility and choice diversity of mental health welfare services for mental patients, the higher their satisfaction with the service use. And information accessibility and choice diversity have an effect on making mental patients perceive themselves as consumers rather than beneficiaries of mental health welfare service. However, the level of satisfaction with the use of mental health welfare services for mental patients does not affect their consumer perceptions. These results suggest that the supplier-centered mental health welfare service system should be transformed into a consumers-centered one aiming at the needs of the mental patients.

본 연구의 목적은 정신건강 복지서비스의 수요자인 정신질환자가 처한 서비스 정보획득의 접근성과 서비스 선택의 다양성이 실제 서비스 이용만족의 수준에 미치는 영향을 조사하고 정보접근성 및 선택다양성 변수와 함께 서비스 이용만족의 수준이 서비스를 소비하는 그들이 가지는 수요자 인식에 얼마나 영향을 미치는가를 규명하는 데 있다. 분석결과, 첫째, 정신질환자의 정신건강 복지서비스에 대한 정보접근성과 선택다양성이 클수록, 서비스 이용에 대한 만족이 높아지고 있다. 둘째, 이러한 정보접근성과 선택다양성은 정신질환자들이 자신을 수혜자로보다 수요자로 인식하게 하는 데에도 영향을 미치고 있었다. 셋째, 정신질환자의 정신건강 복지서비스 이용에 대한 만족 수준은 정신질환자의 수요자 인식의 수준에 영향을 미치고 있지 않았다. 정신질환자의 정신건강 복지서비스에 대한 정보접근성과 선택다양성이 서비스 이용만족 의 수준에 영향을 미치고 있으므로 공급자 중심의 정신건강 복지서비스 체계를 정신질환자의 욕구에 초점을 둔 수요자 중심으로 변화시켜가야 한다는 점을 보여주고 있다.

INCA was registered as an incorporated association under the Ministry of Information and Communications. The main purpose of the organization is to improve our society by achieving the highest capability possible in next generation convergence technology.
