This study was conducted to understand the relationship between emotional labor and job stress by examining healthcare workers working in hospitals/clinics located in Busan. A total of 250 questionnaires were administered to them from Feb., 01 to May, 31 in 2021 and the data of 204 subjects were used in the final analysis. A statistical analysis using SPSS showed that there was significant difference in emotional labor, according to academic background, jobs, employment forms, the number of customers with which they work a day and scales of workplaces(p<0.05), and that there was significant difference in job stress, according to working patterns and breaktime after lunchtime(p<0.05). Reasonable, adequate and valid compensation is thought to be necessary for healthcare workers' workload, and educational opportunities for them should be also provided inside and outside institutions, to allow them to manage their mental health, by providing measures to resolve emotional labor and job stress.

본 연구는 부산에 소재하고 있는 치과병(의)원에 근무하는 의료기사들을 대상으로 감정노동과 직무스트레 스와의 관련성을 파악하고자 2021년 2월 1일부터 동년 5월 31일까지 자기기입식 설문조사를 시행하였다. 자료분 석은 SPSS를 이용하여 실시하였으며 분석결과 학력, 직종, 고용형태, 1일 응대 고객수, 근무지 규모와 감정노동은 유의한 차이가 있었으며(p<0.05), 근무형태, 점심시간 후 휴식시간과 직무스트레스가 유의한 차이가 있었다 (p<0.05). 의료종사자들의 근무량에 합당한 보상이 필요할 것으로 생각되며, 감정노동과 직무스트레스를 해소 할 수 있는 적절한 방법을 제공하고 정신적 건강관리를 위한 상담센터 운영 및 외부의 전문가를 통한 교육기회가 제 공 되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.
