This study examined the mediating effects of life satisfaction on the relationship between parent attachment, peer attachment, and depression among Korean out-of-school youths. The study participants of 145 out-of-school youths derived from 5th Panel Survey of School Dropouts. To analyze the collected data, descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation, and path analysis conducted by using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0. Parent attachment directly related to life satisfaction. Peer attachment directly related to life satisfaction and to depression. Life satisfaction had a significant negative relationship to depression. Parent attachment (β=-.23, p=.006, 95% CI: -0.33~-0.12) and peer attachment (β=-.18, p=.002, 95% CI: -0.31~-0.08) had indirect effects on depression through mediating life satisfaction. Results of this study indicate that we will discuss implications for possible policies and programs to help out-of-school youth successfully integrate a satisfying life and safely improve depression.

본 연구는 학교 밖 청소년을 대상으로 부모 애착과 또래 애착이 우울 간의 관계에서 생활만족도의 매개효과를 확인하고자 실시하였다. 본 연구는 제5차 학업중단 청소년 패널조사를 활용하였고, 총 145명의 학교 밖 청소년을 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 26.0과 AMOS 26.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, 피어슨 상관분석, 경로 분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 부모 애착과 또래 애착은 생활만족도에 직접적인 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났고, 생활만족도와 또래 애착은 우울에 직접적인 유의한 영향요인으로 나타났다. 또한, 부모 애착(β=-.23, p=.006, 95% CI: -0.33~-0.12)과 또래 애착(β=-.18, p=.002, 95% CI: -0.31~-0.08)은 생활만족도를 통해 우울에 미치는 간접효과가 유의하게 나타났고, 생활만족도의 매개효과는 유의하였다. 본 연구결과는 학교 밖 청소년의 생활만 족을 향상하고 우울을 개선할 수 있는 가능한 정책 및 간호중재 프로그램 개발에 대한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
