The unconscious of human beings is a text with symbols which are very difficult to understand and interpret. But the unconscious as a cipher demands to be deciphered and come true. This paper compares and analyzes the interpretations of Kant and Jung of Swedenborg's dreams who was a renowned spirit-seer. Through such a process, we can understand how to approach the problem of unconsciousness and the correct interpretation of unconscious dreams and their ethical implications. In this study, Kant is looked upon as representative of ethical perspective to dreams and Jung is considered representative of psychological perspective. And then this researcher presents a comprehensive approach of dream interpretation in order to contribute to improving mental health.

인간의 무의식은 읽고 해석하기가 매우 어렵지만 무의식이라는 암호는 해석되기를 원하고 의식화를 통해 자기실현을 요청한다. 본 연구에 서는 스웨덴의 저명한 과학자이자 신지학자였던 스베덴보리의 꿈에 대 한 칸트와 융의 해석을 비교 분석함으로써 무의식의 문제에 어떻게 접 근할 수 있는지, 더 나아가 무의식의 상징인 꿈에 대한 올바른 해석 방향과 그것의 윤리적 함의를 살펴보고자 한다. 본 연구에서 칸트는 꿈에 대한 윤리학적 접근을, 융은 꿈에 대한 심리학적 접근을 대표하는 것으로 간주하며, 이들 논의를 바탕으로 정신건강 제고에 기여할 수 있는 꿈 해석의 종합적 관점을 제시하고자 한다.
