This study analyzed the contents of 23 journals in the field of social sciences, focusing on the selection of excellent Articles Registered Journals to be implemented by the National Research Foundation of Korea since 2015. As a result, only 15 out of 23 social science theme fields(65.2%) were selected as excellent academic journals. The Characteristics of these excellent listed Journals are as follows: First, excellent listed Journals are selected mainly in the field of academics with long time and tradition in the field of social science. Second, in the effect of the excellent Articles Registered Journals, there were 10 academic journals that showed positive effects on both KCI(Korea Citation Index) IF (two years, excluding self-acceptance) and centrality index (3 years), and 9 academic journals that showed negative effects on both criteria. In addition, the average effect(KCI IF(2 years, self-acceptance exclusion) was improved, but the centrality index (3 years) was decreased in three journals, indicating that the effect of selecting excellent journals was insufficient. The implications of the selection of excellent academic journals are that the tendency of academic studies in modern times is different from the past. Many studies with diversity and convergent characteristics are emerging, and academic trends such as this will deepen in the future. Considering this phenomenon, It is necessary to select criteria to evaluate the specificity and diversity of academics.

본 연구에서는 한국연구재단에서 2015년부터 시행하는 우수등재학술지 선정사업을 중심으로 사회 과학분야 학술지 23개를 대상으로 내용분석을 하였다. 그 결과 사회과학 주제분야 23개 중 15개 분 야(65.2%)만 우수등재학술지가 선정되었다. 이러한 우수등재학술지에 대한 특징은 첫째, 사회과학분야 에서 오래 시간과 전통을 가지고 있는 학문분야를 중심으로 우수등재학술지가 선정되고 있다는 것으 로 나타났다. 둘째, 우수등재학술지 사업의 효과에 있어서는 KCI IF (2년, 자기인용제외)와 중심성지 수(3년)를 기준 모두 긍정적인 효과가 나타난 학술지는 10개 였으며 두 가지 기준 모두 부정적인 효 과가 나타난 학술지는 9개였다. 또한 보통효과(KCI IF (2년, 자기인용제외)는 향상되었으나 중심성지 수(3년)가 하락한 결과)는 3개 학술지로 나타나 우수등재학술지의 선정의 효과는 미비한 것으로 나타 났다. 우수등재학술지 선정사업에서 시사점은 현대에 있어서 학문의 경향은 과거와 다른 현상이 나타나고 있다. 다양성과 융합적 성격을 가진 학문이 많이 나타나고 있으며 미래에도 이와 같은 학문적 경 향은 심화될 것이다. 이러한 현상을 감안한다면 학문의 특성을 반영 할 수 있는 선정기준이 필요하다.
