[Purpose] This Study is an artistic philosophy attempt to establish an academic foundation for'The Aesthetics of Golf'. [Method] For this purpose, this paper first explains the fundamental concept of metaphysical aesthetics, namely, the relationship between truth and beauty, and then deduces what the truth of golf is from Casey Martin's lawsuit for permitting golf carts in 1998. The relationship between the validity and beauty of the truth will be demonstrated through the case of Se-ri Park, who won the 53rd US Women's Open. [Result] The essence of golf thus derived consists of the following three characteristics. The first is the strong physical strength and concentration of the spirit, the second is the courage and wisdom to overcome difficulties and crises, and the third is the excellence of the skills and skills to realize them. The beauty of golf is the spiritual impression that the reality of this essence gives. [Conclusion] This study on the metaphysical beauty of golf is a work that lays the groundwork and methodology for the future golf aesthetics, and is a true philosophy of golf that raises the great mental value of golf and the ontological status of golf.

[목적] 이 논문은 `골프의 미학(The Aesthetics of Golf)'을 학문적으로 정초하기 위한 예술철학적인 시도다. [방법] 이 를 위해 이 논문은 먼저 형이상학적 미학의 근본개념, 즉 진리와 아름다움의 연관을 설명하고, 이어 골프의 진리가 무엇인지를 1998년 케이시 마틴(Casey Martin)의 골프카트허용 소송으로부터 추론할 것이며, 그 진리의 타당성과 아 름다움의 연관을 제53회 US 여자오픈에서 우승한 박세리 선수의 경기 사례를 통해 입증할 것이다. [결과] 이렇게 도 출된 골프의 본질은 다음 세 가지 특성으로 이루어진다. 첫째는 강인한 체력과 정신의 집중력이며, 둘째는 난관과 위 기를 극복하는 용기와 지혜이며, 셋째는 그것을 실현할 기술과 기예의 탁월함이다. 골프의 아름다움이란 바로 이러 한 본질의 현실이 주는 정신적인 감동이다. [결론] 이러한 골프의 형이상학적 아름다움에 관한 연구는 앞으로의 골프 미학을 위한 밑그림과 방법론을 정초하는 작업임과 동시에 골프의 위대한 정신적 가치와 존재론적 위상을 드높이는 참다운 의미의 골프철학이라 할 수 있다.
