The purpose of this study is to make policy suggestions based on the results of a survey of police officers scheduled to retire on the necessity of education for retirement preparation for ritired police officers. The research method statistically analyzed the data of a survey conducted on 165 students in the contriution training course at the Police Human Resources Development Institute. ANOVA analysis, t-test, and multiple regression analysis were performed using the SPSS WIN 25.0 program. The analysis results are as follows. Retired police officers planning to retire recognized that the introduction of a retirement preparation program was necessary, and among the retirement preparation programs, information on various benefits after retirement was the most necessary. In order to prepare for economic retirement, the household's total assets were most frequently calculated, but overall economic retirement preparation was not very much. In addition, for physical retirement preparation, health management was the most, on the other hand food control was the least, and overall physical retirement preparation was performed. It was found that the economic and physical preparation of retired police officers for retirement had an effect on the necessity of introducing a retirement preparation program.

본 연구는 경찰공무원의 퇴직 준비 교육의 필요성에 대해 퇴직예정 경찰공무원들을 대상으로 한 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 정책적인 제언을 함에 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 경찰인재개발원에서 교육 중인 공로연수 과정생 165명을 대상으로 실시한 설문조사 자료를 통계적으로 분석하였다. SPSS WIN 25.0 프로그램을 이용하여 ANOVA 분석과 t-test, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과는 다 음과 같다. 퇴직예정 경찰공무원들은 퇴직준비 프로그램 도입이 필요하다고 인식하였으며, 퇴직준비 프로그 램 중에는 퇴직 후 각종 혜택 안내가 가장 필요하다고 인식하였다. 경제적 노후준비를 위해서는 가 계의 총 자산의 잦은 계산을 가장 많이 하고 있었으나 전반적으로 경제적 노후준비는 그다지 하지 않았으며, 계급이 높은 경찰공무원일수록, 그리고 부양가족이 1명인 경찰관이 그렇지 않은 경찰공무 원보다 경제적 노후준비를 많이 하였다. 또한 신체적 노후준비를 위해서는 건강관리를 가장 많이 하 고 있는 반면 음식물 조절을 가장 적게 하고 있었고, 전반적으로 신체적 노후준비는 하고 있었으며, 부앙가족이 적은 경찰공무원일수록 신체적 노후준비를 많이 하였다. 퇴직예정 경찰공무원들의 노후 를 위한 경제적 준비와 신체적 준비는 퇴직준비 프로그램의 도입 필요성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
