Ethical practice does not simply mean rational behavior in accordance with universal moral law. Since merely obedience of universal law is a deceptive behavior aspect that accepts the existing order without any suspicion and it is an act of abandon to find what one’s desire is. Therefore, this practice is the unethical, though the behavior is right and exemplary, because it is subordinate to the other’s order. Thus, ethics of the Real require reveal the place where universal order cannot subsume by rethink and resistance from the power of other’s law. For only through that ethical practice can we become an ethical subject. In this regard, Socrates exemplifies what an ethical master is who practice ethics of the Real with respect of hybris. The purpose of this paper is to examine ethics of the Real and ethical master through Socrates’s hybris and propose a new viewpoint about ethical practice and education.

윤리적 실천은 단순히 보편적 도덕법칙에 따른 이성적 행위를 의미 하지 않는다. 순전한 보편법칙의 준수는 기존의 질서를 의심 없이 받 아들인다는 점에서 자신의 진정한 욕망이 무엇인지 밝히는 것을 포기 한 기만적인 행위이기 때문이다. 아무런 검토 없이 보편법칙을 준수하 는 실천은 그 행위가 올바른 것일지라도 타자의 질서에 종속된 것이라 는 점에서 비윤리적이다. 이에 관해 실재의 윤리는 기존의 보편적 질 서가 포섭할 수 없는 장소를 드러내고, 그곳에서 보편적 권력체제에 대항할 것을 요구한다. 그때 비로소 우리는 윤리적 주체로서 윤리적 실천을 수행할 수 있다. 이와 관련하여 소크라테스는 히브리스를 통해 실재의 윤리를 실천하는 윤리적 스승이란 어떤 존재인지 보여준다. 이 논문은 소크라테스의 히브리스를 중심으로 실재의 윤리와 윤리적 스승 에 대해 논함으로써, 윤리적 실천과 교육에 대한 새로운 시각을 제시 하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
