This article attempts to confirm the correlation between ethics education and politics, and examine the role of politics in ethics education. In doing so, I would like to suggest the directions and principles for organizing political topics in the ethics education curriculum. Since the democratization of Korean society, the ethics education curriculum has been greatly improved both in content and organization. I will examine the background of the change in the stature and content of politics in ethics education after Korean democratization. In addition, I will also demonstrate the connection between ethics and political philosophy. Lastly, I briefly propose several directions and principles for organizing politics in the curriculum.

이 글은 중등 도덕윤리과교육에서 정치학의 역할과 위상 변화를 살 펴보고, 윤리과교육과 정치학의 상관성을 확인하여 윤리과교육이 정치 학의 어떤 주제를 어떻게 편성해야 하는가에 대한 방향과 원칙을 제안 한다. 민주주의 이행 이후 윤리교과는 내용과 편제 모두 대대적인 전 환을 거쳐 환골탈태해 왔다. 현재 국면에서 정치학은 국민윤리 시절 이상으로 도덕윤리과교육에 복무해야 할 책무가 있다. 다음 과제를 수 행한다. 도덕윤리과교육에서 정치학의 비중과 내용 전환 배경을 도덕 윤리과의 정체성과 연관하여 검토한 후 윤리과교육과 정치학의 긴밀성 을 논증한다. 그리고, 정치학의 편성 방향과 원칙을 간략히 모색한다.
