This study is about foreign workers, which have emerged since 1987 along with the development of Korean society, due to the decrease in the number of economically active workers in Korea, the need for supply and demand of workers due to rising wages, and the increase in the inflow of foreign workers. I would like to address the stress involved in foreign workers' cultural adaptation to Korean society and the strength of resilience that can be overcome through their existing adaptability and resilience, and the impact and relationship of depression on the representative of each individual's mental health vulnerability. The subjects of the research are foreign workers working in various manufacturing and industry in Korea. The questionnaire was translated and used in its own language, and the data collection was conducted from June 2019 to December 2019 as a method of intentional sampling, a non-probability sampling method. The research was conducted by visiting foreign welfare centers and shelters for foreign workers in Gyeonggi-do to explain the purpose of the research and to conduct and retrieve surveys in person with cooperation. In this study, 224 out of 236 questionnaires collected were used as final analysis targets, excluding 12 questionnaires that were unfaithful. The research analysis method used the depression of foreign workers as a dependent variable and the interaction of demographic factors, cultural adaptation stress, recovery elasticity, cultural adaptation stress and resilience in turn to perform hierarchical regression analysis. The analysis showed that the higher the stress of foreign workers' cultural adaptation, the higher the depression. In addition, the higher the level of resilience and the higher the average monthly income, the lower the depression of foreign workers. Even if the level of stress on foreign workers' cultural adaptation is high, the level of depression has been reduced when resilience is put in. In other words, resilience can be seen as having the effect of mitigating the relationship between cultural stress and depression

한국사회 발전과 함께 1987년 이후 국내 경제활동 노동인력 감소와 임금상승에 따른 노동자 수급의 필요로, 외국인 노동자의 유입이 증가하게 되면서, 나타나는 외국인 노동자에 관한 연구를 다루어 보았다. 한국사회 문 화적응에 있어서 수반되는 스트레스와 기존에 본인이 가지고 있는 적응력과 회복력을 통해 극복할 수 있는 회 복탄력성의 힘이, 각각 개개인의 정신건강의 취약성 중 대표성을 가진 우울에 대한 부분에 미치는 영향과 관계 에 대한 부분을 다루어 보고자 한다. 연구 조사대상은 우리나라의 각종 제조업 및 산업에 근무하는 외국인 노동자이다. 설문지는 자국어로 번역하 여 사용하였으며, 자료수집은 비확률 표집방법인 의도적 표집방법으로 2019년 06월부터 2019년 12월까지 진행 하였다. 경기도에 있는 외국인 복지센터와 외국인 노동자 쉼터 등을 방문하여 연구의 목적을 설명하고 협조를 얻어 직접 설문조사를 실시하고 회수하는 방식으로 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 회수된 236부의 설문지 중 불성 실하게 작성된 설문지 12부를 제외한 224부의 설문지를 최종 분석대상으로 활용하였다. 연구 분석방법은 외국인 노동자들의 우울을 종속변수로 하고 인구학적 요인, 문화적응 스트레스, 회복 탄력 성, 문화적응 스트레스와 회복탄력성의 상호작용을 차례로 투입하여 위계적 회귀분석을 하였다. 분석 결과 외국 인 노동자의 문화적응 스트레스가 높아질수록 우울이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 회복탄력성 수준이 높을 수록, 월평균 수입이 높을수록 외국인 노동자들의 우울이 낮아지는 것으로 확인되었다. 외국인 노동자의 문화적 응 스트레스 수준이 높더라도 회복탄력성이 투입되면 우울의 수준이 낮아졌다. 즉, 회복탄력성은 문화적응스트 레스와 우울의 관계를 완화시키는 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다.
