Fourth Industrial Revolution brings unprecedented efficiency in history in many aspects of today's society. This article examined the development patterns and application cases of visualization technology, and looked at the ways in which these technologies could be expanded and utilized within the police organization. The police should strengthen their policing capacity by applying and applying new techniques to various cases in an active manner. However, there is a limit to current discussions that the application of technological development is limited to information and investigative activities. Therefore, this article presented a plan for application of visualization technology to enhance effectiveness in the field of police education and Welfare. First the combination of visualization technology and various educational scenarios could help enhance judgment and responsiveness of police in the field. In addition, if multi-user training programs can be used with visualization technology the team ability to respond to crises will be enhanced.Finally, it was suggested that the use of visualization technology in the welfare field could be effective in managing the stress of police officers due to their duties. Systematic technical support is required in the field of police education and welfare in order to raise the capability of police organization.

4차 산업혁명은 오늘날의 사회의 다방면에 역사상 전례 없는 효율성을 가져오고 있다. 이 글은 시각화 기술의 발전양태와 적용사례를 살펴보고, 이러한 기술들이 경찰조직 내에 서 확대되어 활용될 수 있는 방안에 대하여 살펴보았다. 경찰은 능동적인 모습으로 다양한 사례에 새로운 기술들을 적용하고 응용함으로써 치안역량을 강화해야 한다. 그러나 현재의 논의에는 기술발전의 적용이 정보와 수사 활동에 국한되고 있다는 한계가 존재한다. 따라서 이 글은 경찰교육 및 복지 분야에서의 효과성을 제고하기 위한 시각화 기술의 적용방안을 제시한다. 먼저 시각화 기술과 다양한 교육 시나리오가 결부된다면 현장에서의 판단능력과 대응능력 제고에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다. 또한 다중 사용자 교육 프로그램을 통해 현실감 있는 상황 속 상호작용을 지속적으로 할 수 있다면 팀 단위의 위기대응능력을 강화될 수 있을 것이다. 마지막으로 복지 분야에 서 시각화 기술이 활용된다면 직무로 인한 경찰공무원들의 스트레스 관리에도 효과적일 수 있음을 제시하였다. 고도화된 기술이 경찰활동의 수준을 제고하는 것도 중요하지만, 기 술의 적용이 우선되어야 해야 하는 곳은 ‘경찰’이다. 경찰조직의 수준을 제고하기 위해서는 경찰공무원들의 교육 및 복지 분야에 있어서도 체계적인 기술지원이 요구된다.
