The aim of this study is to review the phenomenon of religion-related crimes in Korea and to regard the psychological procedures in terms of antisocial crime, by which urging to enhance a degree of social vigilance to religion-related crimes exercising an evil influence and to demand a supporting policy for the religion-related crime victims. Especially dealing with the relation between religion and violence, religious conflicts in Korea, characteristic of cult crime, was followed by analysing varioss crimes committed by ministers in the last 5 years (from 2014 to 2018). It turned out that for fraud crime, it rates 60% among economy crimes on a regular basis, while sexual assault making up a overwhelming percentage (close to 92%) of violent crimes(vicious). The religion-related crimes are functioned by psychological mechanism such as mind control or brain washing. That’s why psychological intervention of psychologists to both believer’s crime and religion-related crime victimization in addition to offering victim assistance and raising public awareness.

이 연구는 최근 한국에서의 다양한 종교범죄의 현상을 분석하고 종교범죄에서 작동 되는 심리 과정을 고찰하였다. 이를 통해 반사회적 종교범죄에 대한 사회적 경각심을 높이고 종교범죄피해자의 구제 및 보호를 강화하는 정책의 필요성을 촉구하는 것을 목 적으로 한다. 특히 종교와 폭력의 관계, 한국의 종교갈등 문제, 컬트범죄의 특징을 논의하고 최근 2014～2018에 발생한 범죄 중에서 종교가가 저지른 다양한 범죄를 분석대상으로 하였 다. 그 결과 재산범죄 중에서는 사기범죄가 평균 60%를 차지하고, 강력범죄(흉악)의 경우 성폭력이 평균 92% 가까이에 이르고 있다. 종교범죄는 피해자화 과정에서 마인드 컨트롤 및 세뇌와 같은 심리기제가 발동하고 있으므로 신도들의 범죄나 피해 모두에 대응하기 위한 심리학자의 개입이 필요하다. 또한 신도들에 대한 피해자지원, 종교범죄 에 대한 인식의 제고가 필요하다.
