NCEP-ATP Ⅲ 가이드라인에 따른 대사증후군 진단에 CT로 측정한 내장지방 면적의 유용성
The Usefulness of Visceral Fat Area Estimated by CT Fat Measurement in Diagnosing Metabolic Syndrome Based on NCEP-ATP III Guideline
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of visceral fat area measured by CT in diagnosing metabolic syndrome according to NCEP-ATP III guidelines. The correlation between visceral fat area measured by CT and factors related to metabolic syndrome was analyzed. In addition, the usefulness and cut-off value of visceral fat area measured by CT for metabolic syndrome were obtained by analysis of ROC curve. All variables, with or without metabolic syndrome, were statistically significantly different for both male and female, except blood pressure. The results of ROC curve analysis showed that visceral fat area measured by CT was useful for diagnosing metabolic syndrome. Cut-off value was 128.7 cm2 for male and 128.6 cm2 for female with the highest sensitivity and specificity for metabolic syndrome. CT visceral fat area can be an indicator of metabolic syndrome with high sensitivity and specificity.

NCEP-ATP III 가이드라인에 따른 대사증후군 진단에 CT로 측정한 내장지방 면적의 유용성을 알아보 고자 하였다. CT로 측정한 내장지방 면적과 대사증후군 관련 인자 간의 상관관계, ROC curve 분석을 통해 대사 증후군 진단에 CT로 측정한 내장지방 면적의 유용성 및 Cut-off 값을 구하였다. 대사증후군 유·무에 따라 Blood pressure를 제외한 모든 변수는 남녀 모두 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. ROC curve 분석 결과 CT로 측정 한 내장지방 면적은 대사증후군 진단에 유용한 것으로 나타났으며, Cut-off 값은 남자 128.7 cm2, 여자 128.6 cm2 로 하였을 때 대사증후군에 대한 민감도와 특이도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. CT 내장지방 면적은 높은 민감 도와 특이도로 대사증후군을 예측하는 지표가 될 수 있다.
