In the meantime, it is true that the rural area has overlooked the rural area in the fear of crime because the social awareness of the safety zone is rooted in the crime. Although the city is a little higher than the rural area in fear of crime damage, the study results that about half of the residents in the rural area feel fear of crime damage must be recognized as a serious problem, and it is said that measures to deal with it are urgent. You can. The purpose of this study is to identify factors affecting crime fear of rural residents and to make policy suggestions such as improving crime and crime-causing environments in rural areas. Using STATA 13.0 statistical package, frequency analysis, technical analysis, one-way variance analysis, and correlation analysis were conducted to derive the results. Policy suggestions for reducing and mitigating crime fear in rural areas are as follows. First, it is to improve the environment that causes crime and fear of crime in rural areas. Second, it is to suppress the disorder in the community through active intervention in minor disorder criminals, such as the criminal punishment law or the procedural law on the summary judgment. Third, it is to strengthen police activities and security strategies tailored to the elderly. Fourth, it is to strengthen community police activities. Fifth, the perception of rural areas is changing.

그동안 농촌지역은 범죄로부터 안전지대라는 사회적 인식이 뿌리내리고 있어 농촌지역을 범죄두려움 지역에서 간과해 왔던 것은 사실이다. 범죄피해 두려움에 있어서 도시가 농촌 보다 조금 높은 편이지만, 농촌지역 거주민의 절반 가량이 범죄피해 두려움을 느끼고 있다는 연구결과는 심각한 문제로 인식될 수밖에 없으며, 이에 대한 대책마련이 시급한 실정임을 보여주는 것이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 농촌지역 주민들의 범죄두려움에 미치는 영향요인을 파악하고, 농촌지역 범 죄 및 범죄두려움 유발환경 등을 개선하는 등의 정책제언을 하고자 함에 목적이 있다. STATA 13.0 통계패키지를 활용하여 빈도분석, 기술분석, 일원배치분산분석, 상관관계 분석을 실시하여 결과물을 도출하였다. 농촌지역의 범죄두려움 감소 및 완화를 위한 정책제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 농촌지역 범죄 및 범죄 두려움 유발 환경개선이다. 둘째, 범죄처벌법이나 즉결심판에 관한 절차법 등 경미한 무질서 사범에 대한 적극적 개입을 통한 지역사회내의 무질서 억제이다. 셋째, 노인 맞춤형 경찰활동 및 치안전략 강화이다. 넷째, 지역사회경찰활동의 강화이다. 다섯째, 농촌지역에 대한 인식 변화이다.
