The History of the Three Kingdoms, along with the History of the Three Kingdoms, is a national treasure as an invaluable historical resource in Korea's ancient history. Nevertheless, the fact that there has been little research in physical education on the history of the Three Kingdoms is believed to have considered that there has been little research on the history of the Three Kingdoms. The study attempted a "close reading" of the Three Kingdoms Period through slow-reading. Research has found a wide variety and large amount. The findings are as follows. First, the archery of the Three Kingdoms Period was mostly related to the king. Second, the king appears as a prehistoric man who was good at archery. Third, the archery of the Three Kingdoms Period, which is seen in the thermoelectric system, is mainly a story of military service. This is a loyal heart to its master, an unchanging incision, and an allegiance to its motherland. Fourth, it is a social and cultural example and an archery culture as a metaphor.

삼국사기(三國史記)는 삼국유사(三國遺事)와 함께 우리나라 고대사에서 더없이 귀중한 사료(史料)로서 국보 (國寶)이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그동안 삼국사기에 대한 체육학의 연구가 거의 없었다는 것은 삼국사기에는 체육학적 연구 자료가 별로 없었다고 간주한 것으로 생각된다. 이 연구는 슬로우-리딩(Slow Reading)을 통해 삼국사기 ‘자세히 읽기(close reading)’를 시도하였다. 연구결과 매우 다양하고 많은 양이 검색되었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 삼국 사기의 활쏘기는 대부분 왕과 관련지어 나타났다. 둘째, 왕은 활쏘기를 잘하였던 선사(善射)로 등장한다. 셋째, 열전(列 傳)에서 보이는 삼국사기의 활쏘기는 주로 무용담(전쟁)이다. 이것은 주인에 대한 충성스런 마음, 변하지 않은 절개 그리 고 조국에 대한 충절이다. 넷째, 사회문화적 예(禮)와 비유로서의 활 문화이다.
