This paper is a paper on the elements of art education(美育) in the theory of painting. To this end, we looked at the elements of art education, which are the most straightforward aspects of painting, such as "cultivating and helping humanity" and "changing foolish people into wise ones by reflecting on past mistakes and never repeating them again." In the art and educational elements developed in the theory of painting, cultural knowledge and psychological characteristics were schemed to realize the intention of the creator's artistic and educational metaphor. In addition, it was intended to establish time and space for animals, characters, and figures on the screen, and then to reach an ethically sensitive purpose by describing the test or chastity. In particular, painters who draw flowers and birds in the painting style expressed subjective images of the artist's art education through the metaphors of the creator's art education by drawing subjective images with cultural knowledge and psychological characteristics, such as painting circular, symbolic, or similar reading sounds. It was confirmed that these were consistent with what was intended for art education. In this regard, the change in the way the audience appreciates the mistakes of art education, which reflect on the mistakes made by art education, led to the repetition of such mistakes and the promotion of the function of enlightenment. Therefore, painting not only has the function of exhorting goodness and guarding against evil, but also requires people to cultivate character and cultivate human character and emotion, and it can be seen that such utility and function have artistic and educational elements.

본 고는 歷代畵論에 나타난 美育的要素에 관한 논문이다. 이를 위해 회화의 미육적 요소를 가장 단적으로 보여주는 ‘成敎化, 助人倫’的美育과 ‘鑑戒賢愚’的美育의 요소를 관련지어 살펴보았다. 歷代畵論에 전개된 美育的要素에서는 문화지식과 심리특징을 주관적 意象으로 도식하여 창작자의 美育的隱喩라는 의도를 실현하고자 하였다. 또한 동물, 문자의 형상, 인물을 화면으로의 시공간을 구축한 후 그에 대한 고사나 정절을 묘사하여 윤리적으로 감계적인 목적에 도달하고자 하였다. 특히 화론에서 花鳥畵家들은 원형의 모습대로 그리거나, 상징적인 모습을 그리거나, 독음이 비슷한 것을 그리는 등, 문화지식과 심리특징으로 주관적 意象을 그려냄으로써 창작자의 美育的메타포를 통하여 마음속의 특징이나 문화를 주관적 이미지로 풀어냈다. 이러한 것은 미육에서 지향한 내용과 일치하는 것이 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 차원에서 繪畵를 보는 사람의 감상 방식의 변화는 美育의 鑑戒․敎化的 技能을 촉진시켰다. 따라서 회화는 선함을 권면하고 악함을 경계하는 勸戒기능을 가지고 있을 뿐만 아니라 사람들로 하여금 인격을 함양하고 성정을 陶冶할 것을 요구하고 있으며, 이 같은 효용성과 기능에는 미육적 요소가 있음을 알 수 있다.
