This study aims to deal with the alcoholism issue currently taken seriously in society, and identify its effects on communities and homes and preventive measures against it, by examining Chinese drinking culture and Chinese cases of alcoholism. Chinese drinking culture has long been passed down from one generation to the next in various types of folklore. Chinese has deemed alcohol drinking to be essential in receiving or entertaining guests. In particular, the specific drinking culture in which until getting drunk is regarded as hospitable is partly attributed to the widespread alcoholism problem. In addition, such culture has become more serious in the country with its social, political and economic developments. Korean society also has a similar drinking culture. In that sense, alcohol drinking needs to be accompanied by a proper drinking culture, not alcoholism.

본 연구는 사회에서 문제가 되는 알코올중독문제를 중국의 음주문화와 중국인들의 알코올 중독 사례를 통해 사회와 가정에 미치는 영향과 예방 대책에 대해 알아보았다. 중국의 음주문 화는 역사가 유구하고 다양한 민속으로 전승되어 왔다. 중국인들에게 음주는 손님을 접대하 는데 반드시 필요한 것으로 여겨왔으며, 손님이 취할 때까지 마셔야 비로소 접대를 잘 했다고 여기는 독특한 음주문화가 알코올중독의 한 원인이 되고 있다. 또한 이러한 문화는 사회 정치 경제의 발전에 따라 더욱 심각해지고 있다. 우리사회 또한 이와 유사한 음주문화를 가지고 있 다. 이러한 점에서 음주는 반드시 알코올중독이 아닌 바른 음주문화로 발전해 나가야만 한다. 따라서 본 논문은 중국의 음주문화의 역사와 관련 음주문화 및 음주로 인한 알코올중독으로 이어지는 다양한 요인들을 살펴보았다. 또한 음주문화의 실태와 사회적 문제 및 이에 대한 정 부와 사회의 대처방안에 대해 살펴보았다.
