This study was conducted to develop a future readiness index to Korean listed companies(FRI-lc)and find out what needs to be improved in the future by applying FRI-lc to assess their future capacity. Since FRI(Future Readiness Index) developed by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance in 2011 is based on qualitative indicators, it is difficult to measure them objectively for all industries, so by developing FRI-lc for measuring the overall level of survival capacity, growth strategy, and risk management capabilities for companies, companies need to quantify their future readiness level and responsiveness, and thus develop an index that can analyze and compare their future readiness capabilities with other companies. Therefore, it is expected that by developing a measurable type of FRI-lc, this study will be able to contribute to measuring the level of future readiness capability of listed companies and comparing the level of their future readiness capability with other entities, while finding and spreading the best future readiness companies that can be benchmarked. In addition, the present study provides the actual results of measuring FRI-lc for some listed companies, demonstrating the applicability and potential for development of this model.

본 연구는 기업의 미래준비역량을 진단하는 미래준비지수를 개발하고 한국 상장기업을 대상으로 지수를 적용해 봄으로써 한국 상장기업의 미래준비 역량을 진단하고 미래준비를 위한 개선 방향성을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 2011년 기획재정부가 개발한 미래준비지수(FRI : Future Readiness Index)는 정성지표 위주로 되어 있어 전 산업을 대상으로 객관적인 측정이 어려우므로 기업을 대상으로 생존역량, 성장전략, 위기관리능 력 세 영역의 종합적 수준을 측정하는 미래준비지수(FRI)를 개발함으로써 기업의 미래 준비 수준과 대응 능력 등을 계량화하고 이를 통해 기업 스스로 미래 준비 역량을 분석하고 타 기업과 비교할 수 있는 지수의 개발 필요성이 대두되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 계량적으 로 측정이 가능한 형태의 상장기업 미래준비지수(FRI-lc)를 개발함으로써 정성평가 중심 의 미래준비지수(FRI)와의 연계를 통해 상장기업의 미래준비 수준을 측정할 수 있는 지수 체계를 개발하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 개발된 상장기업 미래준비지수(FRI-lc)를 실제 적용하여 측정한 결과를 제시하고 있어 본 모형의 적용가능성과 발전가능성을 실증적으로 보여주고 있다.
