Attachment development is the top priority for successful adaptation between adopted children and their parents. This is even more the case with adoptees who have had damaged attachment development in the sensitive period of around 12 months after birth. It is at this time child-rearing efficacy and role of the adoptive parents can have an important impact on whether or not there is early adaptation with the adoptee. Considering the minuscule amount of research on the role of the adopting father and becoming an adoptee father, this study seeks to present principles and practical methods for attachment development that enables attachment formation between fathers and adoptees. It does so by considering biblical training of the father, confirming the father’s attachment in his relationship with, and restoration of trust with, God. A model is found in the relationship between God the Father and Jesus Christ as son. Addressed are distinguishing characteristics of attachment such as the pursuit of proximity, a security base, and warm physical contact. Finally, this study suggests play options consistent with attachment development in the home as a practical measure for attachment development.

입양아의 성공적인 적응을 위해서는 애착형성이 무엇보다 우선되어야할 과제 이다. 애착형성의 민감한 시기인 생후 12개월을 전후로 하여서 애착이 손상된 경 험을 가지고 있는 입양아의 경우에는 더욱 그러하다. 이때 입양 부모의 양육효능 감과 역할에 따라 입양아의 초기적응의 여부에 중요한 영향을 미치게 된다. 특히 입양 아버지에 대한 역할과 입양 아버지 됨에 대한 연구는 매우 미미한 실정임을 감안할 때 본 연구는 입양 아버지가 입양아와 안정적 애착 형성을 할 수 있도록 애착육아에 대한 원리와 실천방안을 제안하고 자 하였다. 먼저는 입양 아버지의 성경적 양육을 고려하면서 아버지 자신이 하나님과의 애착관계를 확인하고 신뢰 를 회복하여야 하는 것을 전제로 한다. 그 모델을 하나님과 예수님에게서 찾았고, 애착의 특성인 근접추구, 안전기지, 그리고 따뜻한 신체적 접촉을 들었다. 마지막 으로 애착 육아의 실천적 방안으로 가정에서의 애착육아를 위한 일관된 놀이와 놀이내용을 제안하였다.
