This study investigated the effects of social support perception on satisfaction with academic major and career direction among college students majoring in cosmetology. For this, a questionnaire survey was conducted among college students from cosmetology-related departments in Busan. A frequency analysis was performed to analyze subjects’ general characteristics. To determine the influence of the perception of social support on their satisfaction with academic major and career direction, a correlation analysis and regression analysis were carried out using SPSS 18.0. The results found the following: Social support perception revealed a statistical significance in relationship with academic major satisfaction and career direction. It seems reasonable to say that efforts to enhance such social support perception are a critical factor affecting students’ satisfaction with their academic major and career direction. In addition, since academic major satisfaction plays a mediating role in social support perception and career direction, colleges’ efforts to improve such academic major satisfaction and upgrade the quality of education have a statistically significant effect on decisions regarding career path despite low social support perception. Therefore, it making efforts to enhance students’ satisfaction with their academic major seems to be of critical urgency.

本论文为了了解社会正向意识对美容专业大学生专业满意度和就业方向产生的影响，以釜山市美容相关专业 在校男女大学生为对象进行了问卷调查。另外，为了了解调查对象的普遍特性进行频度分析的同时，为了了解 社会正向意识对专业满意度及就业方向产生的影响，通过SPSS18.0V统计系统，进行了相关关系分析和回归分 析。经分析确认社会正向意识对专业满意度和就业方向呈现出相关性。因此，为了提高美容专业学生对专业的 满意度以及设定就业方向，学校应积极努力提高社会正向意识。另外，专业满意度在社会正向意识和就业方向 中起到媒介作用。即便社会正向意识不高，大学为提高专业满意度以及改善教育品质所做出的努力，对就业方 向的设定产生重要影响，因此今后相关学校应致力于提高学生对专业的满意度。
