A Study on the Development of Parents' leadership - Based on the Ternary Roles of Jesus One of the greatest crises about the Korean churches is that they are not doing good jobs in educating the next generation. The primary reason for failure in Sunday school lies in the attitudes of parents for education. Indeed, current Sunday school education reflects ignorance and wrong attitudes of parents in faith education. Based on this background, this article attempts to explore the educational function of family and parents’ leadership for faith growth of children. For this, this article studied the ternary roles of Jesus to find a ground of church leadership. Churches have their fundamental responsibility to educate and foster God's workers. Likewise, families, which function as small churches, have educational responsibility for parents. Indeed, the duties of parents are more significant than those of the church leaders. The early churches took the role of education in the form of keryugma, didache, koinonia, diakonia, leiturgia to build the kingdom of God proclaimed by Jesus. Such leadership initiated by Jesus can be a model to lead faith communities including families. Jesus, the head of the church, showed the way to lead the faith community with three roles of the king, the high priest, and the prophet. It applies to parents that they shall guide the faith growth of children with the Jesus’ leadership with early churches’ methods mentioned above. In this vein, the churches shall guide and strengthen the leadership of parents to follow Jesus, as the head of the church, in their families. For this, churches need to devise programs to develop the leadership of parents and implement them. The development of parent leadership can be made through various classes specializing in marriage preparation, the role of couples, fathers, mothers, and godmothers. The development of leadership programs shall consist of main contents about family, children and spouse. For the successful delivery of these contents, implementing programs would employ diverse methodologies from developmental psychology, conversation skills, leadership types and skills, as well as MBTI. All these efforts should be accompanied with the understanding about children's education, human character and behaviour.

한국교회의 가장 큰 위기 중 하나는 다음세대 교육을 잘 감당하지 못하고 있다는 점이다. 많은 교회들이 교회학교 교육에 실패하고 있는데 신승범(2016)의 연구에 따르면 가장 큰 원인이 부모의 교육적 태도에 있음을 볼 수 있다. 신앙교육에 대한 부모의 무관심과 잘못된 교육적 태도가 오늘 교회학교 교육에 반영되고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 이유로 본고에서는 자녀들의 신앙성장을 위한 가정의 교육적 기능과 부모의 지도력의 근거와 내용을 찾아보려고 했다. 특히 지도력의 확실한 근거를 위해 교회의 머리이신 예수의 삼중직을 중심하여 찾아보았다. 원래 교회는 하나님의 일꾼을 가르치고 키우는 절대적 책임이 있지만 가정도 작은 교회로서 교육적 책임이 있고 가정 안에서 부모는 교회의 교육 지도자들의 책임 이상으로 그 책임이 있음을 볼 수 있다. 초대교회는 예수가 말씀하신 하나님 나라의 사역을 케류그마, 디다케, 코이노니아, 디아코니아, 레이투르기아의 형식을 통해 교육을 감당 했다. 그리고 교회 운영도 교회의 머리되신 예수가 왕, 제사장, 예언자적 능력을 가지고 교회를 이끌어 나갔다. 이제 교회는 가정도 작은 교회로 인식하고 부모들이 각 가정의 신앙지도자로 세워야 한다. 가정도 교회처럼 케류그마, 디다케, 코이노니아, 디아코니아, 레이투르기아의 형식을 통해 자녀들의 신앙지도를 계획하고 이끌어 가야한다. 그리고 부모도 가정 안에서의 제사장, 왕, 예언자적 지도력을 가지고 자녀들의 신앙성장을 이끌어 가도록 해야 한다. 이를 위해서 교회는 부모의 제사장적 지도력, 왕적 지도력, 예언자적 지도력을 함양하고 부모들이 가정 안에서 그 책임을 감당 하도록 지도해 가야한다. 이를 위해서 교회에서는 부모의 지도력 개발을 위한 구체적 프로그램은 결혼준비교실, 부부교실, 아버지교실, 어머니 교실, 대모교실...같은 모임을 통해서 할 수 있다. 지도력 개발은 위한 교육 내용은 원리적인 내용으로 가정, 자녀, 부부... 같은 것들이고 기술적인 내용으로는 발달심리, 대화의 기술, 지도력의 유형과 기술, 성격탐구(MBTI), 자녀교육의 이해, 성격과 행동이해, 부모역할 훈련 같은 것들이다. 그러므로 교회는 이 직능들을 잘 감당할 수 있는 능력을 부모들에게 일깨워주고 키워줌으로 한국교회 다음세대 교육을 성공적으로 감당할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.
