The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI) and land surface temperature(LST) in the sites of public residential development in Seoul. The scope of the study was analyzed based on the residential development projects that took place between 2007 and 2017 in Seoul. Seven residential development areas were included in this study such as Sinae 3, Sinjung 4, Naegok, Segok 2, Gangnam, Ogum, and Wirye. Landsat TM and OLI satellite images were used to derive NDVI and normalized LST(zLST). The results showed that most of the residential development projects showed a decrease in NDVI during 2007~2017. There were strong negative correlations between NDVI07 and zLST07, NDVI17 and zLST17, and △NDVI and △zLST. Especially, the correlation between △NDVI and △zLST was high in the districts of Sinnae 3, Ogum, and Wirye. This study highlights the important role of environmental-friendly development in public residential development project.

본 연구의 목적은 공공택지개발사업지구에서 정규식생지수의 변화가 지표면온도에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 있다. 연구의 범위는 지난 10년(2007년~2017년)동안 서울시에서 조성된 공공택지개발사업지구 7개소를 대상으로 하며, Landsat TM/OLI 위성영상을 분석에 활용하였다. 분석대상에 포함된 공공택지개발지구는 신내3지구, 신정4지구, 내곡지구, 세곡2지구, 강남지구, 오금지구, 위례지구이다. 분석결과, 대부분의 공공택지개발지구에서 2007년에 비해 2017년의 정규식생지수는 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 개발이전의 정규식생지수(NDVI07)와 표준화된 지표면온도(zLST07), 개발이후의 정규식생지수(NDVI17)와 표준화된 지표면온도(zLST17)는 통계적으로 유의미한 수준에서 강한 음(-)의 상관관계를 보였다. 이와 함께, 07-17년 동안의 정규식생지수의 변화(△NDVI)와 표준화된 지표면온도의 변화(△zLST)도 음(-)의 상관관계를 보였으며, 특히 신내3지구, 오금지구, 위례지구 등에서 두드러지게 나타났다. 이 연구를 기반으로 택지개발을 실행할 시에 환경적 측면을 고려하여 해당지역의 식생환경의 변화를 최소화하는 친환경 도시개발 정책을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
