This study aims to analyze the effect of employment of Major Conglomerate related to key industries on the employment of our key industry. To this end, the key industries were defined and the effects of local industrial factors, human factors, and local factors on employment of the key industries were analyzed in 229 local governments nationwide using multiple regression analysis. This study was carried out in the following ways: First, we review the definitions of the key industries used in this study and the prior studies related to the factors affecting the employment of the key industries. Second, identify the spatial distribution of Major Conglomerate designated by the Fair Trade Commission by their key industries. Third, using basic statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis, 229 local governments nationwide in 2010 and 2018 were able to analyze their factors on employment for each major industry and derive their policy implications for this study. The analysis shows that employment in the key industries is affected by the ratio of employment of Major Conglomerate related to the key industries, the number of industrial parks and the number of employed people in manufacturing, the GRDP, the ratio of aging, the ratio of net movement, and the proportion of workers in each company size.

본 연구는 우리나라 주력산업에서 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있는 대규모 기업집단에 소속된 기업들의 산업유형과 입지분포를 분석하고, 주력산업과 관련된 대규모 기업집단의 고용이 우리나라 주력산업 고용에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 주력산업을 정의하였으며, 다중회귀분석을 이용하여 전국 229개 지자체를 대상으로 지역의 산업요인과 인구요인, 지역요인이 주력산업 고용에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 방법으로 수행되었다. 첫째, 본 연구에서 사용되는 주력산업의 정의와 주력산업 고용에 미치는 요인과 관련된 선행연구들을 검토한다. 둘째, 공정거래위원회에서 지정한 대규모기업집단의 주력 산업별 공간적 분포를 파악한다. 셋째, 기초통계분석과 다중회귀분석을 이용하여 2010년과 2018년의 전국 229개 지자체를 대상으로 각 주력산업별 고용에 미치는 요인을 분석하고 본 연구에 대한 정책적 시사점을 도출하였다. 분석 결과 주력산업 고용은 주력산업 관련 대규모 기업집단의 고용 비율, 산업단지의 개수와 고용자 수, 제조업 고용자수 비율, 지역내 총생산, 고령화 비율, 순 이동자수, 기업규모별 종사자수 비율 등에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.
