The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning of moral integration in the Moral Identity Theory of Blasi. For this, this study presented the critical thinking about moral motivation. And this study explained the importance of ‘self as subject’, ‘self-appropriation’, and ‘integrity’. Also, with regard to the moral integration, this study attempted to clarify the meaning of moral integration by emphasizing the role of the self, responsibility judgment and the integrating power of moral understanding in the formation of moral identity. Also, this study proposed that continuous efforts are needed on diverse levels to live a moral life after moral integration.

본 연구는 블라지의 도덕적 정체성 이론에서 도덕적 통합의 의미에대해 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 도덕적 동기화와 관련된 문제의식을 제기하고 도덕적 정체성에서 주체로서의 자아, 자기 전유와 진정성의 중요성에 대해 설명하였다. 또한 도덕적 통합과 관련하여 도덕적 정체성의 형성에서 자아의 역할과 책임판단, 도덕적 이해의통합력을 강조함으로써 도덕적 통합의 의미를 밝히고자 하였다. 그리고 도덕적 통합 이후 도덕적 삶을 살아가기 위해서는 다양한 차원에서끊임없는 노력이 필요하다는 것을 제시하였다.
