This research aims to analyse the impact of outsourcing on labour productivity and operation profit rate by utilizing the panel financial sources of Korea Enterprise Data Ltd., between 2006 and 2016. In order to conduct a comprehensive analysis, both productivity and profit need to be considered. Therefore, the research attempts to analyse the impact of outsourcing on labour productivity and their operation profit rates. The research result is as follows: First, as outsourcing intensity increases, labour productivity also increases. This tendency has been consistently observed in multiple industry sectors including: manufacturing industry, service industry and construction industry. This correlation has also been observed in the estimates sorting manufacturing industry by core business types. Second, the increase of outsourcing intensity does not create significant effect the operation profit rate. In the research result of the industrial sectors, outsourcing does not positively contribute to manufacturing industry and service industry. Especially, in the sector of manufacturing industry which the most actively opt outsourcing as the way to maximize their profit, no statistical significance has been observed. Since outsourcing has long been accepted in manufacturing industry, in-house subcontracting has also been widely utilised. If the negative impact of outsourcing continues to outweigh the positive impact, a policy that controls the expansion of insecure employment by limiting utilization of outsourcing should be considered.

본 연구에서는 2006-2016는 ㈜한국기업데이터의 패널 재무자료를 활용하여 아웃소싱이 노동 생산성 및 영업이익률에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 아웃소싱이 기업성과에 미치는 영향을 다양하 게 알아보기 위해서는 생산성의 측면만이 아니라 수익성의 측면에서도 분석할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 산업별, 기업규모별, 제조업 주요 업종별로 아웃소싱이 기업의 생산성과 수익성에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째 아웃소싱집중도가 증가할수록 노동생산성 이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 제조업, 서비스업, 건설업 모두에서 일관되게 나타났다. 제 조업을 주요 업종별로 분류한 추정에서도 아웃소싱집중도는 노동생산성을 높이는 것으로 나타 났다. 둘째, 아웃소싱집중도의 증가는 매출액영업이익률 증가에 유의한 영향을 주지 않았다. 산 업별로 고찰한 결과에서는 제조업과 서비스업에서 아웃소싱은 기업 수익성을 높이지 않는 것으 로 나타났다. 특히 아웃소싱을 가장 많이 하는 것으로 나타난 제조업의 경우 통계적 유의성은 없었다. 제조업 생산부분에서 아웃소싱이 허용된 이후 사내하청은 광범위하게 사용되고 있다. 아웃소싱의 효과가 제한적인 반면 그 부정적인 효과가 크다면 아웃소싱을 활용하는 범위를 제 한함으로써 불안정 고용을 확대를 제어하는 것이 필요할 것이다.
