The purpose of this study is to propose the necessity of safety inspection of physical facilities and the operation plan of safety inspection agency. The research method was similar case analysis, PEST analysis, and questionnaire. The following conclusions were obtained. First, it was indicated that the institution specializing in safety inspection of sports facilities was necessary, and the management institution was found to be suitable for the initiative of the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation. Second, details of the detailed composition of the safety inspection of the sports facilities were presented as regular inspection, emergency inspection and precision inspection according to the purpose and type of safety inspection, while specific safety inspection items were presented as areas related to the facility sector, fire prevention area and sports facilities law.

본 연구의 목적은 체육시설 안전점검관리 필요성과 안전점검 전문기관 운영 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 연구방법 은 유사사례 분석, PEST분석, 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 아래와 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 체육시설 안전점검 전문기관은 필요하다고 나타났으며, 운영기관은 국민체육진흥공단 주도형이 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 체육시설 안전점검 세부 구성내용은 안전점검의 목적 및 종류에 따라 정기점검, 긴급점검, 정밀점검으로 제시하였으며, 구체적인 안전점검 항목으로는 시설물 분야, 소방시설 분야, 체육시설법 관련 분야로 제시하였다.
