In this study, we examined whether cultural stress, self-efficacy, and career-preparation behavior differed depending on the general characteristics of foreign students, and whether cultural adaptation stress and self-efficacy affect career-preparation behavior. To this end, a survey of 231 foreign students was conducted and data was analyzed using the IBM SPSS v23 statistics program. According to the study, cultural adaptation stress and self-efficacy differed depending on the general characteristics of foreign students. And cultural adaptation stress and self-efficacy have been shown to affect career-preparation behavior. Therefore, it was suggested that the government needs to develop curriculums, comparisons and programs for foreign students to help them exchange culture and adapt their studies, and that it is necessary to have professional counseling staff residing in universities to conduct career and academic counseling

본 연구에서는 외국인 유학생의 일반적 특성에 따라 문화적응스트레스, 자기효능감, 진로준비행동이 차이가 있 는지 살펴보고, 문화적응스트레스 및 자기효능감이 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 외 국인 유학생 231명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였고, IBM SPSS v23 통계 프로그램을 활용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 외국인 유학생의 일반적 특성에 따라 문화적응스트레스 및 자기유능감이 차이가 있게 나타났으며, 문화적응스트 레스 및 자기유능감은 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 외국인 유학생들을 위해 교과 및 비교과 프로그램을 개발하여 문화교류와 학업 및 문화적응을 도울 필요가 있으며, 유학생 전문상담인력을 대학 내에 상주시켜 진로 및 학업상담을 진행할 필요가 있음을 제언하였다.
