Ethical inquiry and consideration on the life science technology is one of the main topics of moral subject curriculum. Today the expectation and concern on the outcomes of life science technology arise simultaneously. Ethical reflection on the life science technology is demanded in current situation. According to Aristotle, human every art and every inquiry and similarly every action and pursuit is thought to aim at some good. He told that the man of good character pursues the true good but the bad man seeks any chance thing, apparent good. This paper firstly inquiries the nature and limit of the good pursed by life science technology, secondary reflects that what consideration is required for the realization the true good on the basis of phenomenological value theory and personalistic bioethics.

중ㆍ고등학교의 도덕과 교육과정에서 과학기술 및 생명과학기술의 윤 리성에 대한 탐구와 성찰은 주요 학습 주제 중 하나이다. 생명과학기 술 및 생명공학의 현란한 성과에 대한 기대와 우려가 공존하고 있는 오늘날 이에 대한 윤리학적 성찰은 매우 중요하다. 아리스토텔레스는, 인간은 자신의 행위와 선택, 기예와 탐구를 통해 선(善)의 실현을 목표 로 하는데, 그 중에 어떤 것은 “외견상의 선”을, 어떤 것은 “진리에 따 른 선”을 목표로 한다고 말한다. 본고에서는, 아리스토텔레스의 이런 통찰을 활용하여, 생명과학기술 및 생명공학을 통해 인간이 실현하고 자 하는 선의 특징과 그 한계를 탐구하고, 그것이 “진리에 따른 선”을 지향하기 위해서는 어떤 숙고와 노력이 필요한지를 현상학적 가치론과 인격주의 생명윤리의 논의를 활용하여 성찰하고자 한다.
