The purpose of this study is to find a way to utilize social economic organization as a way of self - reliance of facility protection juveniles. The research method for this study was a survey of the actual condition of the self - reliance support program of the foster facilities and in - depth interview of the workers. As a result of the analysis, the satisfaction rate of the self - support programs provided by the facilities was very high at 3.64 points. However, these programs did not fit well with the aptitudes of the protected boys. The biggest problem of self-reliance programs offered at the facility was that it was difficult to connect with the difficulty of obtaining certification and actual employment. In the in - depth interviews for the workers, the self - support programs provided at the facilities were more effective than the self - support activities for the self - reliant children, and the support for self - support using the social economic organization in the protection facilities was very unlikely to be practiced. In order to be connected with employment and start-up in connection with social economic organization in the facility, a social support system should be provided. First of all, the facilities should be installed nationwide and provide opportunities for juvenile delinquents to be exposed to the social economy. Creating a self-sustaining success model that utilizes social economic organization can also help the self-reliance of institution-foster youth.

이 연구의 목적은 시설보호 비행청소년의 자립방안으로 사회적경제 조직을 활용할 수 있는 방법을 모색하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위한 연구방법은 위탁시설의 자립지원 프로그램에 대한 실태조사와 종사자의 심층면접을 하였다. 분석결과 보호소년들은 시설에서 제공되는 자립지원 프로그램에 대한 만족도는 평균 3.64점으로 매우 높았다. 그러나 이러한 프로그램들은 보호소년들의 적성에는 크게 부합하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 시설에서 제공되는 자립프로그램의 가장 큰 문제점을 자격증 취득의 어려움과 실제 취업으로 연결되기 어렵다는 것이었다. 종사자 대상 심층면접에서는 시설에서 제공되는 자립지원 프로그램은 보호소년들의 자립에 초점을 두기 보다는 여가체험의 기능이 더 강했고, 보호시설에서 사회적경제 조직을 활용한 자립지원은 실천가능성이 매우 희박하다고 하였다. 시설 내에서 사회적경제 조직과 연계하여 취업이나 창업으로 이어지기 위해서는 사회적 지지체계가 마련되어야만 가능하다고 하였다. 이러한 결과에 대한 몇 가지 대책을 제안하면 다음과 같다. 종사자의 보호소년의 자립지원에 대한 인식이 변화되어야 하고, 시설의 사회화가 이루어져야 하며, 보호시설 내 자립지원 프로그램이 보호소년의 역량강화에 집중되어야 한다. 무엇보다 보호시설들이 전국적으로 충분히 설치되어 야며, 비행청소년들이 사회적경제를 접해 볼 수 있는 기회가 제공될 수 있도록 해야 한다. 사회적경제 조직을 활용한 자립 성공모델을 만들어 내는 것도 시설위탁 비행청소년의 자립에 도움이 될 수 있다.
