Just as the Internet and mobile phones have greatly changed the overall paradigm of modern society, 3D printing has made individual creative ideas into reality, enabling them to change society, and in the future, not just corporate production activities, but the lifestyle of society as a whole. In order to understand the principles and status of 3D printing technology, various literature studies have been conducted, as well as the relationship between the latest technology, 3D printing technology and traditional printing. Analog(2D) printing technology, which has been developing continuously since the past, has many things in common with current 3D printing technology. The future printing industry will create a new business model that will facilitate convergence between 3D printing and 2D printing to meet the needs of a wide range of consumers, including custom small production. Therefore, studies approached from this convergence point of view should be actively conducted, and more and more studies of printed materials should be done. Advances in the 3D printing industry will dramatically change the paradigm of the entire manufacturing industry, including the printing industry, and the business model will be diversified into new markets. Amid this change, research on business strategies is needed by analyzing the technicality and value of 3D printing. To create a business using 3D printing, we need to focus on what we can do now and what's most likely to be. In order to make this real, a new business model will be created depending on the convergence of thinking.

인터넷과 휴대전화가 현대 사회의 전반적인 패러다임(paradigm)을 크게 변화시킨 것처럼 3D 프린팅은 개인의 창의적 아이디어를 현실화시켜 사회를 변화시킬 수 있게 만들었으며, 앞으로는 기업의 생산 활동 외에도 사회 전체의 생활방식에도 큰 변화를 불러올 것이다. 3D 프린팅 기술 의 원리와 현황 등의 이해를 위해서 다양한 문헌 연구를 했으며, 최신 기술인 3D 프린팅 기술 과 전통적인 인쇄와의 상관관계에 대하여서도 연구하였다. 과거부터 지금까지 변함없이 발전하면서 이어져 온 아날로그(2D) 인쇄 기술은 최신의 3D 프 린팅과는 많은 공통점이 있다. 앞으로의 인쇄 산업은 맞춤형 소량 생산을 아우르는 다양한 소비 자의 수요를 만족시킬 수 있는 3D 프린팅과 2D 프린팅과의 융합을 촉진시키는 비즈니스 모델 이 탄생하게 될 것이다. 따라서 이러한 융합적 관점에서 접근한 연구가 활발하게 이루어 져야하 며, 더욱이 인쇄 소재의 연구도 더욱더 이루어져야 한다. 3D 프린팅 산업의 발전은 인쇄 산업을 포함한 전체 제조 산업의 패러다임을 크게 바꿀 것이 며, 새로운 시장으로 비즈니스 모델도 다변화될 것이다. 이러한 변화 속에서 3D 프린팅의 기술성과 활용 가치를 분석하여 비즈니스 전략 방안의 연구가 필요해 진다. 3D 프린팅을 활용한 비즈니스 창출을 위해서는‘현재 우리가 무엇을 할 수 있으며, 무엇이 가 장 가능성이 있는지’에 초점을 맞춰야 한다. 이를 만족시키기 위해 어떤 융합적 사고를 하는가 에 따라서 새로운 비즈니스 모델이 생겨나게 될 것이다.
