In this study, we tried to apply the lesson as one of the methods to strengthen the core competence of Makeup education. The main reason for choosing the lesson was to consider the advantage of being able to exchange a wide range of thinking. The results of this study are as follows: First, it can be seen that the application of the discussion class in Makeup education is effective in improving the professionalism. Second, it was found that the subjects of hairdressing, skin majors, Makeup and nail majors were effective on field adaptation. Third, it was found that the application of the discussion class in Makeup education was effective in improving the job understanding. Fourth, it was found that the application of the discussion class in Makeup education was effective in improving the awareness of discussion class. Therefore, it can be said that the application of the discussion class to the Makeup course proved to be effective, and it confirmed that the discussion class is suitable for the education method for the core competency required by the university. It is also suggested that the data suggesting various possibilities for expanding the education for core competencies to major courses.
