The low loading efficiency and difficulty with standardization for loading and unloading have been pointed out as the causes of logistics cost burdens in the operation of the old logistic system due to transportation after packaging for delivery while they help to meet the consumer needs or consumption trends for agricultural products. This study proposed an approach to overcome the difficulties, and it was a multi-stage transportation strategy in bulk. Instead of setting up a plant near a producing area for the primary processing including collecting, selecting, cleaning, and packing agricultural products, the strategy proposed to establish a processing plant near a superstore (logistics) center and skip the packaging process at the producing area and between the producing area and the warehouse of the superstore (logistics) center. The study also developed a model to rationalize logistics and thus increase the competitiveness of logistics as well as meet the consumer tastes by transporting agricultural products in bulk, maximizing the vehicle loading efficiency, and lowering the loading and unloading costs through the standardization of transportation and handling units. The excellence of the model was demonstrated through numerical analysis.

소비자 요구 또는 농산물에 대한 소비추세를 충족시키면서 납품포장 형태의 수송으로 기존 물 류시스템 운영에서 물류비 부담의 원인 주요 원인은 낮은 적재효율, 상·하차를 위한 규격화로 정의할 수 있다. 이러한 물류합리화의 어려움을 극복하기 위한 방안으로 기존 농산물 수집, 선별, 세척 및 포 장 등 1차 가공을 위하여 산지 인근에 공장을 두어 운영하고 있다. 이를 대체하기 위하여 대형마트(물 류)센터 인근에 가공공장을 두어 산지에서 포장을 생략하고 대형마트(물류)센터에 입고되기 전까지 포 장을 생략하여 벌크 형태로 수송하는 다단계 수송 전략을 제시하였다. 벌크형태로 농산물을 수송함으 로써 차량의 적재효율을 극대 시키고 수송 및 취급단위 규격화로 상·하차 등의 비용을 감소시키는 효 과를 달성하여 소비자의 기호를 충족시키면서 물류 경쟁력향상을 도모할 수 있는 물류합리화 방안에 대한 모형을 개발하였다. 또한 수치분석을 통하여 그 우수성을 입증하였다.
