This study aims to examine the influence of family environment perceived by adolescents on juvenile delinquency, and identify the mediating effects of anger on the relation between these two variables. The study’s subject comprises 292 teenage individuals currently enrolled in 3 high schools located in Seoul, and the collected data was analyzed using SPSS/WIN 18.0. Descriptive statistics of the subjects’ general characteristics and major variables were used in the study, and the relation among the subjects’ family background. rage, and juvenile delinquency was measured through the Pearson’s correlation coefficient. To verify the mediating effects of anger on the relation between family environment and juvenile delinquency, a multiple regression analysis was conducted as suggested by Baron & Kenny. The results of the study show that adolescents’ perceived family environment, anger, and juvenile delinquency had positive correlations with one another, and analysis shows that the juvenile anger partially mediates the relation between family environment and juvenile delinquency. The findings of the study will prove useful as foundational materials in strengthening the positive function of family and actively utilizing anger control programs for adolescents, as well as in providing policy support to prevent juvenile delinquency.

본 연구는 청소년이 지각한 가정환경이 비행에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 이 두 변수간의 관계에서 분노의 매개효과를 규명하고자 시도되었다. 연구대상은 서울 시 소재 3개 고등학교에 재학 중인 청소년 292명이며 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 18.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 대상자의 일반적 특성 및 주요 변수의 정도는 기술 통계를 실시하였고, 대상자의 가정환경과 분노, 비행과의 관계는 피어슨 상관계 수를 구하였다. 가정환경과 비행과의 관계에서 분노의 매개효과 검증은 Baron & Kenny가 제시한 방법에 따라 다중회귀분석을 실시하였으며 마지막으로 매개효 과의 통계적 유의성을 검증하기 위해 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 청소년이 지각하는 가정환경과 분노, 비행은 각각 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 청소년의 분노는 가정환경과 비행과의 관계를 부분적으 로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 청소년 비행 예방을 위하여 가정의 순기능 강화와 아울러 청소년의 분노조절 프로그램의 적극적인 활용 및 정책적인 관리방안 모색을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
