It is essential to have multicultural skill for both multicultural families and Korean citizens to co-exist in multicultural society. So far, multicultural capability concept has been used frequently to evaluate multicultural ability. Patterson(2007) has explained the multicultural capability by cultural intelligence. He defined the cultural intelligence as cultural capability to behave through knowledge and technique to react a partner's cultural value standard and behavior through mutual interaction. The cultural intelligence has been conceptualized based on working interest and need due to global economy system along with management organization diversity increase and increase of mutual interaction between people who have different background. We will look into the cultural intelligence concept and system in this research and understand the cultural intelligence related research trend in Korea. There are only a few preceding research data on the cultural intelligence as the research of cultural intelligence in Korea is its initial stage. Research on early cultural intelligence has been conducted on the relationship between cultural intelligence concepts and job satisfaction. Research on education, on the other hand, has mainly focused on teachers and students who have influence on their cultural intelligence. Future directions of cultural intelligence research in Korea are presented based on research trends of cultural intelligence.
