The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the participation in activities of entrepreneurship education on career development competencies in high school students. The 10,413 cases of high school students’ data from Korea Career Education Survey in 2017 were used for the analysis. The main results were as follows. First, the high school students who participated in activities of entrepreneurship education showed a higher score on career development competency and all sub-factors than the students who did not attend in entrepreneurial activities. Second, the entrepreneurship education activities had positive effects on students’ career development competencies. Specifically, the participation in activities of business class-lecture, entrepreneurship-invention class, virtual experience for entrepreneurship, and start-up contest had a positive influence on the high school students’ career development competencies. Based on these findings, this study suggested the ways of revitalizing the career development in integration with entrepreneurship education in the high school sector.

본 연구는 고등학생의 창업교육활동 참여가 진로개발역량에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 2017년 초·중등 진로교육 현황조사의 고등학생 10,413명의 데이터를 활용하여 기초통계분 석, t-분석, 위계적 다중회귀분석을 하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 창업교육 활동에 참여한 고등학생의 진로개발역량 수준이 미참여 학생보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 고등 학생의 학교 창업교육활동 참여는 진로개발역량을 높이는 데 긍정적 영향을 미쳤다. 인구통 계특성과 학교 진로활동 관련 변수를 통제하더라도 기업가정신 수업·특강, 창업·발명교실, 모의 창업체험, 그리고 창업경진대회 참여는 고등학생의 진로개발역량을 높이는 요인으로 나타났다. 진로개발역량의 네 가지 하위영역별로 살펴보면, 고등학생의 ‘직업이해’와 ‘진로 탐색’ 영역에는 학생의 기업가정신 수업·특강, 창업·발명교실, 모의 창업체험 및 창업경진대 회 참여가 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고, ‘진로설계와 준비’ 영역에는 창업·발명교실, 모의 창업체 험, 창업경진대회 참여가 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 한편, ‘자기이해와 사회성’ 영역에 대해서 는 창업교육활동 참여가 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 학생의 진로개발 관점에서 고등학교 내 창업교육을 활성화하기 위한 방안과 후속 연구를 제언하였다.
