This study examined the relationship among financial performance, CSR and CSR motivation. We use the China A-share listed companies as the sample from 2013 to 2015. We obtained CSR score from RKS database and financial data from the CSMAR database. Based on prior research, we posit that CSR is significantly related with financial performance. In addition, we investigated the effect of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and developed areas on CSR, respectively. CEO’s characteristic was measured as composite career background and academic experience and we analyzed the relationship between CEO’s characteristic and CSR practice. All of the analyses were performed by STATA 13 program. The results of our research indicate that CSR has significant and positive influence on financial performance. Moreover, the nature of enterprise, the regional development level, CEO’s characteristics are significantly and positively related with CSR practice.

본 연구는 기업의 사회적 책임(CSR)과 재무성과 및 CSR동기의 관계를 분석하였다. 본 연구 는 중국시장을 중심으로 실증적 분석방법에 의하여 연구를 진행하였다. 연구기간은 2013년에서 2015년까지이며, 연구대상은 중국 A주식 사장에 상장된 기업을 대상으로 하였다. CSR자료는 RKS의 데이터를 활용하였고 재무자료는 CSMAR의 자료를 활용하였다. 선행연구를 토대로 CSR이 기업의 재무성과에 영향을 미치는 지를 분석하였으며, 국영기업과 발달된 지역으로 구 분하여 추가적인 분석을 행하였다. 또한 CEO 특성에 의한 CSR의 동기를 복합형 취직 경험, 학술적 경험으로 설정하고 이에 대한 분석을 행하였다. 분석은 STATA 13 통계프로그램을 활용 하여 분석하였다. 실증분석을 통한 연구 결과에서는 기업의 사회적 책임이 기업재무성과에 유의적 영향을 미치 는 것으로 나타났으며, CEO의 특성, 기업 성격 및 지역 발전 수준에 유의적인 관계가 있는 것 으로 나타났다.
