The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of using cloud PC in school education by exploring case study of computer lab using cloud PC based on DaaS model. In order to conduct research, we established an existing computer lab in a cloud PC environment by consulting with a cloud service provider, and after experiencing software education and ICT education by using cloud PC in actual class for students in each one of lower and upper grades. We analyzed the effectiveness through the questionnaire. The conclusions of the study are as follows. First, I felt that it was almost the same as the conventional Windows environment, except that it was slow in terms of user convenience. Second, the speed delay and the lack of various applications were the issues to be solved in the future. Third, it provides the following: 1) providing individual PC environments, 2) reducing the cost of replacing old PCs and purchasing SWs, 3) saving time and money due to maintenance, 4) I could see the possibility of using it.

본 연구의 목적은 DaaS 모델을 기반으로 한 클라우드 PC를 적용한 컴퓨터 실습실을 운영한 사례 탐구를 통 해 학교 교육에 있어서 클라우드 PC 활용 가능성에 대해 탐색하였다. 연구를 위해 클라우드 서비스 제공자와 협의하여 기존의 컴퓨터실을 클라우드 PC 환경으로 구축하고, 저학년과 고학년 각 1개반의 학생들을 대상으로 실제 수업에서 클라우드 PC를 활용하여 소프트웨어 교육과 ICT 교육을 실제로 체험한 후 설문을 통해 효과성 을 분석하였다. 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사용자 편의성과 관련하여 속도 측면에서 느리다는 의견 외의 사용법이나 기존 윈도우 환경과 비교했을 때 큰 장애가 없음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 속도 지연이나 다 양한 어플리케이션의 미흡은 앞으로 해결해야 할 부분이었다. 셋째, 1)개별 PC 환경의 제공, 2)노후 PC 교체 및 SW 구매 비용 절감, 3)유지보수에 따른 시간과 비용 절감, 4)소프트웨어 교육 필수화에 따른 교육환경의 제공, 5)학습데이터 축적이라는 활용 가능성을 엿볼 수 있었다.
