The leisure activities of the people have been increased steadily by five-day work a week and the travel week system. Communication with local residents is an indispensable factor. However, it is very hard to find related literature on tidal-flat amusement park. The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of perceptions of tourism development project on the attitudes of residents. The study area of this study is Muan, Jeollanamdo. Muan has a relatively lack of tourist attractions among the 22 cities and counties in Jeollanamdo; however, lots of budget is invested for tourism development recently. A questionnaire survey was carried out to investigate the influence of tourism development and the developmental attitude and perception about the development of amusement park in Muan residents. 165 residents are joined in this survey. As a methodology, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis are used. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, 17 items to see the effect of tourism development were classified into 6 factors. Second, the positive impact of economic, soci o･cultural, and environmental aspects has a positive effect on the development attitude of local residents. Finally, the perception of amusement park development affects positively on the development attitude of local residents. This result of this study would be used as a reference for establishing preparation process and direction for public officials or tourism development entities in the development of tourist sites.
