- his study employs an Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) analysis to examine the effects of renewable energy industry on the national economy. The study, therefore, has two major goals. The first is to develop a static SAM framework for examining the effects of renewable energy industry in the short run. The second is to obtain at least a preliminary indication of the effects of the renewable energy industry on Korean economy. The overall results indicate that a significant influence on the industrial production and the household income in Korea.
