This study was designed to examine the degree of empathic ability, gratitude disposition, and job satisfaction, and identify that the impact on job satisfaction of psychiatric nurses. Participants were 196 psychiatric nurses from 8 psychiatric hospitals in Korea. Data were collected from October 8 to 20, 2016 and were analyzed using independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and hierarchical multiple regression with the SPSS WIN 22.0 program. The mean score of job satisfaction was 3.3±0.34, empathic ability was 3.5±0.28, and gratitude disposition was 4.0±0.59. The psychiatric nurses' empathic ability and gratitude disposition affected their job satisfaction, accounting for 18.5% of the total variance. Empathic ability influenced job satisfaction significantly (B=0.52, p<.001) for 17.0% of the variance. This study suggested that the development of training programs for improving job satisfaction needs to consider their empathic ability and gratitude disposition of psychiatric nurses.

본 연구는 정신간호사의 공감능력, 감사성향 및 직무만족의 정도를 파악하고, 공감능력과 감사성향이 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 시도되었다. 연구대상자는 K도, G도, J도 및 C도에 위치한 8개의 정신전문병원에서 근무 중인 정신간호사 196명이었으며, 자료수집은 2016년 10월 8일부터 10월 20일까지 수행되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficients 및 hierarchial multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 연구대상자의 공감능력은 평균 3.5±0.28점, 감사성향 은 4.0±0.59점, 직무만족은 3.3±0.34점이었으며, 공감능력과 감사성향은 직무만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 예측요인 으로 설명력은 18.5%로 나타났다. 향후에는 지역사회 정신보건기관의 정신간호사들을 대상으로 하는 연구 수행을 제언하 며, 본 연구결과는 정신간호사의 직무만족도 증진의 영향 요인인 공감능력과 감사성향을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
